Jing Liu joined HSBC in February 2021 and is Chief Economist for Greater China. Previously, she worked as a senior economist at the Bank for International Settlements, where she focused on mainland China macro and financial system research. Prior to this, she worked as a senior manager in the financial stability surveillance division at the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, mainly covering mainland China. Jing holds a PhD in economics from Cornell University, an MA in economics from the University of Kansas, and master’s and bachelor’s degrees in management from Xi’an Jiaotong University.
Daisy CAI has started B Capital Group’s China team in Jan, 2021. Before building out B Capital China team, she served as a partner at Softbank Vision Fund. Prior to Softbank, Daisy served as partner and investment committee member of Gaocheng Capital, a growth equity firm in China focused on investing in enterprise technologies. Daisy was also managing partner of Baidu Ventures and Baidu Capital. She began her investment career as an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs. Daisy has a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University, a Master of Engineering from The University of Southern California and an MBA from Columbia University.
Min Fang is based in Shanghai, joined Warburg Pincus in 2007 and focuses on investments in the healthcare sector in Asia. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, he worked at the Boston Consulting Group focusing on management consulting for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Mr. Fang is a director of HTDK (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Evercare (Beijing) Holding Group Co. Ltd., Haihe Biopharma Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Zhenshiming Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., Insilico Medicine Cayman TopCo and Jinxin Fertility Group (1951.HK).
He received a B.A. of International Finance from Fudan University and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Benjamin Fanger is the Managing Partner and founder of ShoreVestPartners and is one of the pioneering investors in China's credit markets. He has managed approximately $2 billion in Chinese distressed debt and special situations investments, and sits on ShoreVest’s Investment Committee. In 2004, Mr. Fanger was one of the founders of Shoreline Capital and architected the firm and its strategies. In 15 years of Chinese distressed experience, Mr. Fanger has been involved in sourcing, analysis, negotiation, restructuring and liquidation related to acquiring and disposing countless distressed assets in China. He has worked directly with Chinese distressed asset sellers, borrowers, judges, and government officials related to the investments. Prior to co-founding ShoreVest Partners and Shoreline Capital, Mr. Fanger started several companies, two of which he sold to public companies. During graduate school, he also worked at the law firm O’Melveny & Myers on early Chinese distressed debt and private equity transactions. Mr. Fanger has been fluent in spoken and written Chinese for over twenty years. He also holds a JD and MBA from the University of Chicago and is a licensed attorney in the State of California.
Doris (Partner) is responsible for all aspects of the primary investment process, including fund selection, due diligence, negotiations, monitoring, and general partner relationship management within China.
Prior to joining Adams Street, she was a Senior Associate for Adveq Investment Management Co. Ltd., a global private equity firm, responsible for sourcing and executing growth/buyout funds and secondary investments in China and Japan. Prior to Adveq, she focused on direct investment activity for C.V. Starr Investment Advisory Asia Ltd.

Ethan Jin represents clients on securities and corporate transactions in the Greater China region, including Hong Kong IPOs, pre-IPO private equity investments, investments in and corporate governance of HKEX listed companies, private placements, public and private M&A and compliance. He advises clients on a wide array of industries and has led the execution of dozens of Hong Kong IPOs, representing both issuers and underwriters. He also has experience advising on foreign direct investments in China.
From 2001 to 2004, Ethan practiced PRC law in respect of foreign direct investment in China. He is one of the few Hong Kong capital market lawyers who are familiar with the corporate legal practice of both Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Ethan is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English.
Harrison Kao is the Vice President and Head of Greater China Private Equity at AlphaSights. Harrison has years of experience partnering with top investment professionals and overseeing relationships with private & growth equity and venture capital with full P&L responsibility.
AlphaSights supports private equity clients throughout the entire deal cycle, from deal sourcing, due diligence to portfolio value creation.
Leigh is a partner with Han Kun’s Investment Fund Group. She joined Han Kun in 2012 and concentrated her practice on forming and operating PRC domestic funds and international investment funds focusing on PRC-related strategies. During the past ten years, she has represented hundreds of PRC and global fund sponsors/investors in raising and investing in investment funds. Leigh is exceptionally well versed in handling cross-border fund formation matters. The clients she has represented include many of the most prominent and active PE/VC market players in the Great China region.
Leigh graduated from Sun Yat-sen University with an LL.B. degree in 2008. She also received a Master of Commercial Laws degree from Seoul National University and an LL.M. degree from Columbia Law School (with honors). Before joining Han Kun, Leigh worked at King & Wood Mallesons (Guangzhou and Beijing offices) and Kim & Chang (Seoul office).

Before joining Han Kun, Shuting Qi was a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP and practiced for more than 14 years. Shuting has extensive experience in representing private equity and strategic clients in a wide array of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, buyouts, growth equity investments, divestitures, joint ventures, foreign direct investments and general corporate matters. Shuting has also represented Chinese companies in their outbound investments and other financing transactions outside China.

Andy supports the Primary Investment Team in all aspects of the investment decision-making process. He also is involved in the sourcing, screening, execution, monitoring, and exiting of growth and buyout co-investments.
Prior to joining Adams Street, Andy was an Executive Director in charge of CICC Wealth Management’s private market product development and investment management in China.
Previously, Andy was a Vice President with the private equity division of GIC Private Limited, where he focused on fund investments and co-investments in Asia. He also worked with Swiss Reinsurance Company’s asset management division in Hong Kong.
Daizong Wang - Partner
Daizong joined NewQuest in 2016 and co-heads the China business. Daizong has 25 years of investment and private equity experience in China and brings with him a diverse set of skills from deal origination and structuring to hands-on operating experience with portfolio companies. He is based in Beijing.
Prior to NewQuest, he was Managing Director at CVC Capital Partners, based in Beijing. Before CVC, he served as Senior Vice President and CIO of Sinobo Group and CFO of Little Sheep Group Ltd., a Hong Kong-listed restaurant group, which was subsequently sold to Yum! Brands. Daizong also previously worked for 3i plc and the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong.
He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s in Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Joyce Wang's practice focuses on the formation and ongoing representation of private investment funds, including venture capital funds and private equity funds. She also represents institutional investors in connection with their global investments in private investment funds.
Prior to joining Cooley, Joyce was an associate at a leading Wall Street law firm’s New York office, where she represented sponsors of private equity funds in investment and financing transactions. She also has experience advising various corporate clients on securities law, mergers & acquisitions and governance matters.

Dr. Le Xia is Asia Chief Economist at BBVA. He also serves as Senior Research Fellow in International Monetary Institute at Renmin University of China; and Council Member of Academic Committee of International Financial Forum. Prior to joining BBVA, Dr. Xia worked for the Treasury Department of Bank of China (Hong Kong). Dr. Xia has extensive interest in economic research, in particular for monetary policy and banking sectors in emerging economies. He has published his works in both academic journals and the international media, including Nikkei Asian Review, OMFIF Monthly Bulletin, People’s Daily, China Daily and FT Chinese. He has been frequently invited to express views about the Chinese economy on Bloomberg, CNBC, CGTN, Phoenix TV, Financial Times and Wall Street Journal. He obtained his PhD from the University of Hong Kong and a master degree from Renmin University of China.
Eric Xin is CITIC Capital's Senior Managing Director, Managing Partner of Trustar Capital and has been with the firm since 2002. Previously, Mr. Xin was a management consultant at Mckinsey & Company in Shanghai and Washington D.C focusing on helping Japanese and U.S multinationals source and set up factories in China. Before that, he was a Deputy Manager for China Leasing Co., Ltd., the largest leasing company in China and a subsidiary of CITIC Group.
Mr. Xin received an MBA from the Harvard Business School with Honors and a B.A. in Economics from Beijing University.
Previously she spent 7 years in NetEase (NASDAQ:NTES) and established its mobile internet business division. As the founder of NetEase news app, Ms. Xu increased the app’s user number from zero to 400 million. She also played a crucial role in establishing the NetEase Open Course.
In 2015, Anna Xu co-founded HIKE Capital with Mark Yang, focusing on the new consuming market and technology innovation. She led investments in CARS Group, FlashEx, IDEAL ONE, RELX, Shimo, Huohua.

Celia Yan, Managing Director, is co-head of Asian Private Credit, co-PM of the BlackRock Asia-Pacific Private Credit funds and a voting IC member of the Asia-Pacific Private Credit investment committee. Celia is responsible for overseeing private credit portfolios including origination and underwriting in APAC (ex. India). Celia is a senior member of the Asian Fixed Income & Credit leadership team and is responsible for driving the growth for BlackRock's Asian Private Credit platform. Prior to joining Blackrock in 2020, Celia was previously the Head of Greater China with ADM Capital where she joined in 2011. As a senior private credit investor, she led the overall China investment strategy and specialized in sourcing and executing Greater China private credit investments. Prior to that, Celia worked for National Australia Bank in Melbourne, where she advised on complex investment solutions and risk analysis. Celia has a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Melbourne (Australia), a Master of Applied Econometrics from Monash University (Australia) and is currently pursuing a Finance EMBA with PBCSF, Tsinghua University (China).
Jinjian Zhang is the founding Partner of Vitalbridge. Established in Oct 2019, Vitalbridge focuses on scientific and technological services in education, healthcare, and enterprise services from “demographic structure” and “technological innovation” perspectives aiming to support the upgrade of “New Service” enabled by technologies.
Jinjian Zhang led the investments including Puxin (NY:NEW), Jiliguala, Liulishuo (NY:LAX), Cloopen (NY:RAAS), Kaishu Story, Unisound, Dustess, Maycur and etc.

Hao Zhou is a partner in Bain’s Hong Kong office. He leads the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Greater China, and is a core member of Consumer Products, Retail and Financial Services practices.
Hao has over 10 years consulting and industry experience. He has extensive experiences working with corporate and financial investors across the whole M&A deal value chain, from diligences to post merger integration topics. He also leads major diligence and post-merger integration efforts for Chinese companies on outbound transactions.
Hao has also served clients in a wide range of industries with a focus on fast moving consumer goods, apparel, retail, industrial products and automotive.
