Twenty years ago, Mergermarket set out to honour the most creative and strategic advisory work across the European M&A community. In 2026, that tradition reaches its milestone year.

On 01 December 2026, the region's leading dealmakers gather at the V&A Museum in London to find out who takes the honours. Each category crowns one winner, decided against the full weight of the year's deal activity.

Mergermarket league table data determines the shortlist, announced on 02 October 2026. Submissions then go to a panel of senior M&A practitioners and Mergermarket journalists, who judge on merit alone.

Submission

Shortlisted firms submit a 300-word pitch by 09 October, setting out the deals that earned their place.

Judging

A panel of senior M&A practitioners and Mergermarket journalists reviews every submission to determin the winner.

Winners

The winners are announced at the black-tie gala dinner on 01 December
