Mr. Kei Chua joined Bain Capital Credit in 2016. He is a Managing Director based in Bain Capital Credit’s Hong Kong office and is a member of the Distressed and Special Situations team focused on special situations and portfolio investing. Previously, Mr. Chua was the co-head of Asia for Mount Kellett Capital focused on special situations and distressed investing. Prior to that, Mr. Chua was a partner with Unitas Capital (fka J.P. Morgan Partners Asia) where he was responsible for investments in Greater China and Southeast Asia. Prior to that, Mr. Chua worked at Cerberus Capital and DLJ in Hong Kong and New York.

Education: Mr. Chua received a B.A. from Columbia College.

- Heng is an MD for Private Credit and Special Situations in Asia Pacific for Strategic Investment Group (SIG) , Deutsche Bank

Part of his responsibilities include sourcing, structuring, syndication and portfolio management.

- Private Credit / Special Situations includes distressed debt, rescue financings, direct lending, stressed par loans and Pre-IPO financings

- Heng has been with SIG since 2008

- Heng is on the Supervisory Board of Huarong Rongde, a JV between SIG and Huarong International (AMC)

- Prior to joining SIG in 2008, Heng was with Bank of America in London and Lehman Brothers in New York

- Heng graduated from Williams College with a BA in Economics in 2001

Grainne has over 20 years’ experience in international banking and private equity. She has advised listed corporates and private equity on their investments in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. Based in Singapore for the last 12 years, Grainne currently works in Standard Chartered Bank focusing on special assets management. Prior to that, she was Director of Investments for Fine Grain Property, a PE real estate investor and operator. Before moving to Singapore, Grainne was a Director in the corporate finance boutique, DC Advisory in London where she advised on billions of dollars of complex, multi-jurisdictional restructurings and was responsible for returning numerous clients to financial health. Prior to that, Grainne worked in the Allied Irish Banks in London focusing on restructuring and portfolio management. She is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ireland and trained as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in Dublin, Ireland.

Luc has over 20 years of experience as a financial journalist in Asia covering fixed income, credit derivatives and distressed debt markets. He joined Debtwire in 2006 as Managing Editor for the Asia-Pacific region and now is responsible for a team of 14 journalists and five analysts that cover primarily the stressed/distressed debt, high yield and primary debt markets. Luc first started covering distressed debt markets in 1989 as a reporter for IFR in Japan. In 1998 he initiated and developed coverage of the Asian distressed debt markets for IFR Asia.

Mr. Goel is a Partner in the Ares SSG Group, where he is a member of the Investment Committee and oversees the groups' investments in India. Prior to joining Ares in 2020, Mr. Goel worked as a Managing Director of the SSG Group since 2009 and was instrumental in growing the firm's India business, including identifying opportunities and structuring investments and asset management. He has deep experience in the structuring of private credit transactions, special situation investments and has led SSG's private lending strategy in the region since its inception. Mr. Goel began his career in 2002 at Lehman Brothers in Tokyo and later worked in the bank's Hong Kong office, where he focused on principal positions related to structured credit and stressed convertible bonds. Mr. Goel holds a B.Tech. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in Chemical Engineering and an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management. Mr. Goel is a CFA® charterholder.
