Will Cai is based in Cooley’s Hong Kong office, he is the head of Cooley’s Asia capital markets practice and co-chair of Cooley’s China Corporate practice. He represents issuers and global investment banks in US and Hong Kong capital market transactions. He also advises private equity funds and multinationals in their investments in Asia region, as well as Asia companies in their cross-border M&A activities.
Will has worked on over 70 successful IPOs in the US and Hong Kong capital markets in the last decade, with a focus on technology and new economy companies. In addition, Will has represented a significant number of leading new economy companies in their M&A transactions, including a number of landmark deals. The deals he has worked on over the years have garnered a number of rankings and accolades including "M&A Deal of the Year - Premium" by Asian Legal Business China Law Awards 2024, “Equity Securities Deal of the Year 2022” by China Law & Practice Awards, "Best IPO of 2017" by FinanceAsia Magazine, "Equity Deal of the Year for 2017" by the IFLR Asia Awards, the largest technology IPO in Hong Kong in 2017, "Deal of the Year 2015, 2016 and 2023" by China Business Law Journal, and "Deal of the Year 2015" by Asian-MENA Counsel magazine.
From 1997 to 2003, Will worked for the Supreme People’s Court of China, where he acquired extensive experience and knowledge of the Chinese judiciary.
Will received his JD from Stanford Law School and LLB from China University of Political Science and Law. He is admitted to practice in California and Hong Kong. Will is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English. He is admitted to practice in California and is a solicitor of Hong Kong.

She currently sits on the board of Zai Lab (NASDAQ:ZLAB; HKSE:9688), CanSino Biologics (SSE:688185; HKSE:6185), Caidya, Chain Medical Labs, Belief BioMed, Zencore Biologics, Valgen MedTech, Alamar Biosciences among others.
Nisa earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS from Cornell University. She is currently visiting lecturer at Harvard Law School, member of Stanford Graduate School of Business Advisory Council and serves as an independent non-executive director of the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEX”) and Hong Kong Palace Museum.
Matthew Koertge is a Managing Partner of Telstra Ventures. Telstra Ventures manages over A$1.3B FUM with a team based in Australia and the USA which has invested in 90 companies around the world of which 34 have achieved liquidity events so far, delivering 15 Unicorns, including 4 of which are Decacorns. Since its inception in 2011, Telstra Ventures has generated more than A$630M of revenue for its portfolio companies across 1,600 customers. Matthew has more than 20 years experience in the venture capital industry including leadership positions at Deutsche Bank Capital Partners, Macquarie Bank and Accede Venture Partners and he has worked with around 200 private equity backed companies including many successful acquisitions and IPOs. Prior to this, Matthew started his career as a software/hardware design engineer and project manager at Fujitsu. Matthew holds degrees in Engineering, Law and Business Administration and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dominic is a Partner at AVP and is in charge of their fund investing activities across primary fund commitments, secondaries and co-investments. He sits on LPACs of several US and European VC funds. He joined AVP in 2017 and is based in London. Prior to AVP, Dominic was a Vice President at Adams Street Partners in the Global Primary Investment team based in London.
Dominic gained extensive experience evaluating funds ranging from technology and life sciences venture capital, growth capital and buyout funds, as well as monitoring investments as a member of Advisory Boards. Before that, Dominic worked at EY in their Financial Services Business Modelling team where he worked on transactions in the banking and asset management sub-sectors.
Dominic is a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He holds a First Class degree in Accounting, Auditing & Finance from Lancaster University Management School.
Spencer Greene has been a general partner at TSVC, a Silicon Valley-based seed-stage venture firm, since 2018. He leads the firm's digital health and medtech investing. Prior to joining TSVC, Spencer was a startup founder and tech operating executive for 30 years, with two successful exits as founder. Spencer also spent 12 years at Juniper Networks in various roles, including head of Strategy and Corporate Development.
