Sean Murphy is a fund formation partner in Cooley’s Singapore office. Sean’s practice focuses on the formation and operation of private funds across venture capital, growth equity, buy-out, special situations, real estate and infrastructure strategies. First resident in Singapore in 2004, he has advised fund sponsors and investors for more than a decade from offices in Singapore, Hong Kong and New York. Sean also regularly advises clients on co-investments, managed accounts, feeder funds for HNWIs, carried interest plans, strategic partnerships and US securities and investment advisory laws.
Sean has a JD from the George Washington University Law School with honors, and a BS from University of Pennsylvania.
Joe is a Partner and has been with Cambridge Associates since 2006. In his role as Global Head of Digital Assets Investing, Joe specializes in discovering blockchain-related funds, building portfolios of digital asset funds for client portfolios, and publishing on digital assets. Joe is a thought leader in the digital assets sector, leading the firm’s research on digital assets in institutional portfolios. Joe is based in our San Francisco office and heads our California offices. Prior to CA, Joe was the CEO of a Japanese financial services-oriented dotcom in Tokyo during the Internet bubble and its aftermath.
Adam Goldberg is Co-Founder of Standard Crypto, a venture capital firm that combines deep technical expertise, company-building experience, and a decade-long track record in crypto to partner early with crypto/blockchain-focused founders. He previously led blockchain and crypto investing at Lightspeed Venture Partners.
Jerry is an investment director and covers equity investments and strategic M&A at Binance. Before joining Binance, Jerry was an investment professional at the venture arm of GenesisCare, and an investment banking associate at Morgan Stanley. Jerry graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with degrees in Applied Maths and Operations Research & Management Science.
Amit Rajpal is Chief Executive Officer of Marshall Wace Asia and the Portfolio Manager responsible for the Digital Finance and Blockchain Technology strategy as well as the Global Financials strategy. He joined the firm in 2008.
Prior to this, Amit was Head of Asia Proprietary Trading and Global Financials Portfolio Manager at Morgan Stanley, having formerly been Head of Global FIG Research from 2006 to 2007 and Asia FIG Research from 2002 to 2007 at the firm.
In 2003 Amit was appointed one of the youngest Managing Directors of the firm at the age of 30. During his tenure in research, the Morgan Stanley Banks team in Asia was consistently rated as one of the top teams in the Institutional Investor (II) survey for institutional clients1.
Amit is also the founder and chairman of Niyogin Fintech, a platform serving micro businesses across India with a focus on rural areas.
Amit graduated from Mumbai University with a Bachelors in Commerce, holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM-C) and has also completed a degree in Costs and Works Accountancy (ICWA).
