Sunil leads the Primary Investment Team’s practice in Asia and specializes in fund selection, due diligence, negotiations, and monitoring of Asian investments ex-China, specifically in India, Australia, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Korea. He also actively participates in all fund investment decisions and is involved in the sourcing, screening, execution, monitoring, and exiting of growth and buyout co-investments.

Prior to joining Adams Street, Sunil worked for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore performing financial and business analyses of local and regional companies. Previously, he worked in India as an Investment and Strategy Associate in Tacogroup, the automotive technology and engineering investment arm of the Tata Group of India, where he worked on business planning, feasibility studies, and localization plans for new ventures. 

Sunil manages relationships with several of Adams Street’s managers and sits on advisory boards of more than a dozen private equity firms within the Adams Street Partners portfolio. He is currently Chairman of the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA) and has been a member of the SVCA Board since 2016.

He is a member of Adams Street’s Impact Investment Committee.

Mr. Sanjay Kukreja is a partner and part of the founding team of ChrysCapital, India’s leading Private Equity Firm with over $8 bn in AUM across ten funds and a CV. He is currently the Chief Investment Officer at ChrysCapital, overseeing all the firm’s investment activities.   Mr. Kukreja currently serves on the Boards of Hero Fincorp, Intas Pharmaceuticals, Theobroma, Xoriant, ResultsCX and has previously also served on the boards of several other companies such as HDFC Credila, KPIT Technologies, LiquidHub, Infogain, Gebbs, Shriram Transport Finance Company etc.   Mr. Kukreja holds an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the Shriram College of Commerce, Delhi University.   Apart from investing, Sanjay is passionate about Education and is a Founder & Trustee at Ashoka University and Plaksha University & also Chairs the Private Equity Committee of FICCI and is an active member of YPO Gurgaon.

Managing Partner, joined in 2006. Hans is based in Hong Kong and is the head of our Greater China business and the Regional team. Prior to joining CVC, Hans was Head of M&A (Asia Pacific) at InBev SA. Hans holds a BSc degree from Columbia University, an MSc from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School, US.

Cindy Yan leads the investment activities and portfolio management for Private Capital direct investment in the Asia-Pacific region for Ontario Teachers’. She is based in Ontario Teachers’ Singapore office.

She has over two decades of combined experience in Private Equity, Management Consulting and General Management/Corporate Operations.  Prior to joining Ontario Teachers, Cindy was a Partner with Advantage Partners, an established Japan and Asia focused mid-cap buyout firm, where she led various buyout and late-stage growth investments, and Japan/Asia cross border portfolio value creation in Asia Pacific countries including Japan, Greater China and Southeast Asia.  The investments are across Technology, Industrial, Business Services, and Health/Consumer sectors.  Prior to that, she worked at Boston Consulting Group and the 999 Group.

Cindy holds a BA from Sichuan International Studies University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
