Terence Quek is Deputy Head of the M&A practice at Rajah & Tann Singapore, with over 22 years of experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and commercial transactions across Asia.
He has led transactions spanning technology, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate, and consumer sectors, representing both investors and founders in deals from early-stage funding, to growth capital, and a number of successful exits.
Recognised by Chambers Asia-Pacific, The Legal 500, and IFLR1000 for his commercial insight and client-focused approach, Terence is noted for driving the firm’s growth in Singapore’s startup and venture ecosystem. He also has a niche specialisation in aviation transactions.
Terence was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2002 and to the Roll of Solicitors of England & Wales in 2008. He previously served as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, and has been recognised among Singapore Business Review’s “40 Most Influential Lawyers Under 40.”
CG is a co-founder and managing partner at Dayone Capital, a consumer specialist investment manager established in 2020 with USD 1bn AUM. Dayone is an investor behind many household consumer brands like Popmart, Shein, Heytea, Li Auto, ZJLD (HK listed), Giant Biogene (HK listed), as well as some recent fast-growing early/growth stage companies like HOTMAXX and HESUNG.
Before Dayone, CG was an entrepreneur in the consumer space for many years, setting up China’s first automated contact lens manufacturing facility with Vizionfocus; then launching two DTC contact lens brands, Ocufit and Ophthalab. The brands were acquired by a strategic investor in 2021 and Vizionfocus listed in Taipei in 2024.
CG started his career as a fixed income derivatives portfolio manager in New York and Hong Kong. He a graduate from Ecole des Mines de Paris - ParisTech.
Nick is the Founder and Managing Partner of Venturi Partners, a USD 500 Million investment fund focusing on Series B to D investments in the consumer space in India & South-East Asia.
Prior to starting Venturi Partners, Nick was Managing Director at Verlinvest, a family-backed investment vehicle specialized in the consumer space. He moved to Singapore end 2014 to open their Asian office and was responsible for all investments in Asia and in consumer tech brands globally.
Nick’s focus has always been on investing in or working with brands in the FMCG, education, e-commerce and healthcare services sectors.
While leading Verlinvest’s Asian investments he successfully deployed over USD 500M of capital in India, South-East Asia and China. Nick is currently on the Boards of Livspace, Country Delight, Sula Wines and Believe and was previously on the Boards of Byju’s, Lazada, Global Fashion Group, Chewy, Epigamia, Veeba, Armonea and China Resources Verlinvest Investment Fund (majority owner of Oatly pre-IPO).
Nick started his career in London and New York in leveraged finance and private equity before joining Verlinvest in 2006. During his 13 years at Verlinvest Nick spent 5 years as an operator and as CEO of Armonea, one of the leading private nursing home operators in Europe with 15,000 residents and 8,000 employees.
Nick is Anglo-Belgian and holds a Masters in Economics from the University of Louvain La Neuve in Belgium and has completed Executive courses at Insead and Stanford.
Since July 2019, he has served as a Vice Chairman of CT Bright Holdings, a wholly owned investment subsidiary of C.P. Group, where he coordinates investment activities and strategic partnerships for the Chairman’s office across C.P. Group companies. He has also served as a Senior Advisor to C.P. Group Chairman Soopakij Chearavanont since July 2018. From June 2017 to June 2018, he was managing partner of R3 Capital Partners. From September 2011 to May 2017, Mr. Glodek was a Deputy CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and a Director of the Russia China Investment Fund (RCIF), where he coordinated investment activity and a number of key strategic partnerships with Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Funds across the world to invest in Russia and selectively in China. Prior to RDIF, Mr. Glodek was based in Warsaw, Poland where he led a regional office of Darby Private Equity, a wholly owned private markets investment arm of Franklin Templeton and in Germany where he co-founded surplex.com, an industrial equipment internet trading platform. Earlier in his career, Mr. Glodek worked at a private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier & Rice in both New York and London and as an M&A investment banker at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers in New York. Mr. Glodek received a B.A. in Economics with Honors from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
