Nisa Leung is founding Managing Partner at Aulis Capital. She served as Managing Partner at Qiming Venture Partners, where she founded and led the firm's healthcare practice since 2006. Under her leadership, Qiming became a pioneering investor in healthcare and biotech sectors, backing some of the most innovative companies in the industry.  

Nisa has been consistently recognized as one of the most influential investors in the industry. She has been featured on the Forbes Midas List for seven consecutive years (2019–2025). In 2024, she was honored as one of Fortune Asia’s Most Powerful Women (MPW Asia).

Prior to joining Qiming, she was co-founder of Biomedic Holdings with operations and investments in medical devices, pharmaceuticals and health care services including Novamed Pharmaceuticals (acquired by SciClone NASDAQ:SCLN) and U-Systems (acquired by GE Healthcare). Nisa was Venture Partner of PacRim Ventures in Menlo Park and was previously with Softbank/Mobius Venture Capital.  

Nisa earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BS from Cornell University. She is visiting lecturer at Harvard Law School, a trustee of the Hotchkiss School, serves as a member of the Hong Kong University Court, Cornell University International Advisory Council and Stanford University International Advisory Council.

Ling Yang is a Managing Director and serves as Co-Head of Healthcare for Carlyle in Asia.

Ms. Yang began her career at Carlyle in 2005 with the firm’s U.S. healthcare buyout team and subsequently joined Carlyle’s Asia buyout team in 2011. Since joining Carlyle Asia, she has led investments into leading healthcare companies in China including ADICON Holdings Limited, Ambiopharm, Microport Scientific Corporation, Hutchmed, Meinian Onehealth, and Shenzhen Salubris Pharmaceuticals. She currently chairs the board of ADICON Holdings Limited and serves as a board member of Ambiopharm and Hutchmed.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Yang worked at KKR in Asia and in investment banking at Goldman Sachs in the U.S. 

Ms. Yang graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and Computer Science from Smith College and received an MBA from Harvard Business School. 

James Zhao is the Founder and Partner at LYFE Capital. Bringing over 20 years of healthcare investment expertise across the U.S. and Asia, James has led LYFE Capital evolve from a regional firm to a transpacific healthcare investment platform with $2B in assets under management. 

Prior to founding LYFE, he built up the Asia practice for Vivo Capital as a Managing Partner. He also worked as a Consultant with the Monitor Group. He holds an MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Vrije Universiteit Brussels.
