Steven is a partner in Private Credit within Goldman Sachs Asset Management, serving as head of Originations for the Americas for Direct Lending. He focuses on middle-market to large cap opportunities across the senior direct lending and mezzanine strategies. Steven serves on the Asset & Wealth Management Private Credit Investment Committee. Previously, Steven worked in Private Credit within the Merchant Banking Division, focused on sourcing, structuring, and managing upper middle-market and large cap credit investments, and served as a board observer to a number of portfolio companies. Before that, he worked in Leveraged Finance within the Investment Banking Division. Steven joined Goldman Sachs in 2009 as an analyst in the Investment Banking Division in New York, and joined the Merchant Banking Division in 2014. He was named managing director in 2019 and partner in 2024. Steven earned a BS, summa cum laude, in Finance from Miami University in 2009.
