Mergermarket's legal advisory M&A rankings for the first quarter of 2023 showed the continuing dominance of Sullivan & Cromwell, who again took top spot by value globally for the quarter, following on from their win in our full-year 2022 rankings. Looking at activity by deal count it was Goodwin Procter stepped up to first place in the global rankings, as well as coming third by value. The global top three was completed by Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz who saw a dramatic leap to second position after placing 9th in 2022, and 20th in 1Q22.
