Currently position: Project Developer for European Energy – developing Power-to-X projects worldwide.

European Energy is currently constructing the world largest commercial E-methanol Power-to-X plant in Denmark. 

Work history: 15 years international experience in O&G in various roles from technical to Development Manager of large scale O&G projects.

Specialist in sustainable development and climate change planning and policies. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science with specialization in International Affairs (Catholic University of Argentina), and has a degree in environmental management (National University of San Martin). Research Fellow at the MIT SPURS (2013-2014). Experience in international negotiations, transport and waste management policies. Former President of the LEDS LAC platform (2017) and Chair of the UN´s 10 Year Framework of Programs for SGD 12 (2020-2021). Secretary of Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Innovation (2020-2021) and Undersecretary for Strategic Affairs of Argentina (2022). Nowadays he is a consultant and faculty at the National University of San Martin.

Alejandro spent the majority of the past 14 years working in the mining and renewable energy sectors in private equity, investment banking, and corporate development roles. When he first learned about how hydrogen could serve as a critical piece of the broader clean energy transition, he was instantly captivated. He soon realized that not only could clean hydrogen help decarbonize areas such as the fertilizer and transportation sectors, but it could also serve as a solution to renewable energy’s intermittency, by storing electrons, and linking clean energy supply and demand centers, by serving as an energy carrier. He now leads Hy24’s investment opportunities in the Americas that is investing in clean hydrogen to advance the energy transition

The company has completed €2.1 billion of transactions representing more than 6 GW of assets. With a team of 50+ people based in Paris, Madrid, Budapest, Dubai, Singapore, Mexico, Abidjan and Nairobi, the company operates through three main segments: Mergers & Acquisitions, Project Finance and Strategic Advisory

Based in Mexico City, Carlos and his team cover Central and South America, including the Caribbean.

Carlos has over 10 years of M&A experience in Mexico and LatAm, and holds Bachelor's degrees in Finance and in Economics from Southern Methodist University.
