Marko Maschek combines engineering skills with entrepreneurial acumen. He grew up near Stuttgart and was an employee in the family-owned company during his school days.
After his military service as an officer, he worked in consulting and software development patenting several developments in automotive applications.
Marko has been a VC- / PE- investor in Germany and the US since 1997 and co-founded Pinova and Marondo both first-time funds. He has been responsible for 33 technology companies generating more than € 500m in value, including four successful IPOs.
Marko earned a degree in electrical engineering from KIT, an advanced degree in computer sciences from INSA (Lyon) and an MBA from Cambridge.
Matthias joined Rivean Capital in 2012. He established the office in Frankfurt in 2019. In the past thirteen years, he has actively accompanied and advised on numerous Rivean Capital investments in DACH/Europe. The focus is on owner-managed medium-sized companies. Amongst other things, Matthias is currently advising on Rivean’s recent signing Perbility GmbH, one of the leading HCM software providers in Germany, Dataciders GmbH, one of the leading providers of data analytics services in Germany, Green Mobility Holding (GMH), one of Europe’s leading technology-based (e-)bike leasing groups and ]init[ AG for digital communication. Prior to Rivean Capital, Matthias worked for Intermediate Capital Group, focusing on special situations and mezzanine financing solutions. From 2002 to 2008 Matthias worked at Goldman Sachs International in London. Matthias holds a Master’s Degree in Finance and Information Technology from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel (Germany).
