Michael Chen is a managing director and member of Investment Committee at Centurium Capital. Mr. Chen also serves as a Director of Luckin Coffee (OTC: LKNCY) and Co-chairman of the company’s Sustainable Development Committee, and Co-chairman of ANE Inc. (HKSE: 9956) and Chairman of the company’s ESG Committee. Mr. Chen is an experienced private equity investor in China with a proven track record of successful investments. Prior to joining Centurium, he led Warburg Pincus’ consumer and services investments in China. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus in 2011, Mr. Chen was a vice president in Crescent Point, a Pan-Asia growth capital fund. Before Crescent, Mr. Chen was an associate in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong and a consultant with Accenture in China. He received a B.A. of economics from Fudan University and an M.B.A. from INSEAD.
Gunther Hamm is the Co-Head of HOPU Magnolia and a Partner at HOPU Investments. HOPU Magnolia is a dedicated Growth fund leveraging HOPU’s platform resources and significant track record of Growth investing.
Mr. Hamm has been an investor for more than 20 years with a primary focus on the Technology and Consumer sectors, including the last 15 years based in China. He previously worked at Hillhouse Capital, CDH Investments and JPMorgan, all with a focus on the Technology and Consumer growth sectors.
Mr. Hamm currently holds board seats at ARM China, Laiye RPA, Trax Retail, and Ceva Animal Health. Other investments include SenseTime, CATL, NextData. His investments have twice won AVCJ ‘Deal of the Year’ awards.
Mr. Hamm was educated at Dartmouth College (BA) and Tsinghua University. He is currently a Trustee at Choate Rosemary Hall, where he helps oversee the management of its endowment.
Before founding Gaocheng Capital, Ms. Hong was a Partner, Head of Private Equity and an Investment Committee member of Hillhouse Capital Group. Prior to Hillhouse, she was the Managing Director and Head of global emerging markets consumer sector, and Head of Beijing office of General Atlantic LLC. Previously Ms. Hong worked at Warburg Pincus LLC and McKinsey & Company.
Ms. Hong has been engaged in growth stage private equity investment for nearly two decades, led private investments including Alibaba (BABA), Meituan (3690.HK), Beike (BEKE), Didi, Fang.com (SFUN), ZTO Express (ZTO), KidsWant (301078.SZ), Xiabu Xiabu (0520.HK), Wind, Ming Yuan Cloud (0909.HK), Bairong (6608.HK), Youzan (8083.HK), Tuya (TUYA), Yitu, Beisen, Huisuanzhang, UMU, etc.
Ms. Hong received an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and a B.S. degree in International Finance and an M.S. degree in Engineering Management from Tsinghua University. Ms. Hong was named Forbes’ Midas List of Top Investors for 2021 and 2022.
Mr. Lau is a Managing Director and Partner at ShawKwei & Partners. He is involved in all aspects of deal flow & investments and leverages his operating, sales and strategy background to manage portfolio companies at the board level. He is a member of the investment committee of ShawKwei and sits on the boards of portfolio companies Beyonics and ICONS Beauty Group.
Brian has more than 30 years of strategy, sales and operations experience across the industrial supply chain and investment banking industries including with multinational corporations Celestica and Texas Instruments.
Brian received an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, York University and a BA from the University of Waterloo and holds the CPA designation (Chartered Professional Account) from Canada.
As the head of DA FS and co-leader of the PE channel at KPMG, Louis has extensive experience in transaction advisory service and has led a large number of landmark deals in financial service sector and TMT sector for FS, PE, SWF and SOE clients. Louis also embraced the importance of value creation to all of his clients and plays the role of lead partner of ELEVATE initiative at KPMG China, a global initiative promoting whole-deal-cycle value creation at KPMG. With years of overseas working experience in KPMG Singapore and London, Louis has wide global connections and contacts, and possess extensive knowledge of global economies, geopolitical environment, FS and PE sectors, helping his client to navigate through complex and challenging M&A transactions.
Joyce Wang's practice focuses on the formation and ongoing representation of private investment funds, including venture capital funds and private equity funds. She also represents institutional investors in connection with their global investments in private investment funds.
Prior to joining Cooley, Joyce was an associate at a leading Wall Street law firm’s New York office, where she represented sponsors of private equity funds in investment and financing transactions. She also has experience advising various corporate clients on securities law, mergers & acquisitions and governance matters.

Yan Yang, M.D., CFA, CAIA, Managing Director, is a senior investment professional for BlackRock Private Equity Partners (PEP) within BlackRock Alternative Investors. Mr. Yang is a member of PEP's Global Investment Committee and is responsible for BlackRock PEP' investment activities within the Asia Pacific region as well as account coverage for several major institutional clients in the region. Mr. Yang also plays an important role in PEP's global healthcare investment strategy.
Prior to joining BlackRock in 2011, Mr. Yang had worked at China Investment Corporation ("CIC") in Beijing where he was covering primary PE funds, direct co-investments and secondary investments globally, with a focus on developed markets. Prior to CIC, Mr. Yang worked at GE Asset Management and managed U.S. private equity assets, both funds and co-investments, for the GE Pension Trust. Mr. Yang started his career at GE Healthcare's information technology business.
Mr. Yang currently serves on the advisory board of certain funds managed by Boyu Capital, Carlyle Capital Asia, Olympus Capital Asia and Unitas Capital. Previously he had served on the advisory board of certain funds managed by Avista Capital, BC Partners, Blackstone, CD&R, Providence Equity and WCAS. Mr. Yang had previously served as an observer to the Board of Directors of The Ritedose Company and GXG.
Mr. Yang is a CFA charter holder and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) member. He holds a MD degree in Clinical Medicine from the Peking Union Medical College, and a MBA from the Robert Emmett McDonough School of Business at the Georgetown University.
Stella Zhou has 16 years’ experience in investment and financial service industry. Before INCE Capital, she was the youngest partner in Qiming Venture and joined Qiming since 2010. She is responsible for the investments in Mafengwo, Tuhu, Musical.ly, Luotianyi, Yuanxin Technology, Dingdong and also Seed Fund investments including Veer, etc.
Prior to Qiming, Ms. Zhou worked in GE Capital Risk Management team based in Shanghai and HK and GE Global Financial Management Training Program for 4 years.
Ms. Zhou graduated with honor from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business with MBA degree in EMBA program. She received a B.S. in Economical Sociology from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics.
Ms. Zhou ranked on the list of China's Top 100 VC Investors by Forbes China in2021. She also featured on the “China’s F40 Young Investors” list by PE Daily for three consecutive years from 2018 to 2020. Wei Zhou is the founding partner of CCV Capital. He has 11 years of successful entrepreneurship experience and 17 years of venture investment experience.
In 2007, Wei joined KPCB as a founding member of KPCB China. He then served as a Managing Partner of KPCB and led the technology investment team in Greater China. In 2017, Wei founded CCV Capital where he adheres to a visionary investment strategy. CCV Capital focuses on early-stage investments in artificial intelligence, robotics, autonomous driving, and green tech. He has maintained a unicorn rate of 35% in the first ten years of operations and continues to yield at least one unicorn each year.

Ian Zhu is a founding partner of NIO Capital and played a key role in building the firm’s investment team, setting up RMB and USD funds, and establishing its operations since 2016. His investment focus includes smart electric vehicle, low carbon energy network, mobility and logistics services and manufacturing innovations. He led NIO Capital’s investments in CATL (300750), Ronbay (688005), Black Sesame Technology (HKEX: 02533), EVTECH (SZSE: 301607), Momenta, Pony.ai, Newlink, Inceptio, Seyond, etc.
Ian is among the earliest ESG investors in China with 15 years’ relevant experience since his work at Tsing Capital. He has participated in the transformation of relevant industries and evolvement of the community, and has accumulated extensive experience in integrating ESG considerations into the investment practice. Led by Ian, NIO Capital has established systematic ESG mechanism and identified decarbonization as a main direction to pursue in its investments.
