Anders Strömblad is a senior investment executive with over 25 years of experience managing institutional portfolios. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at the Second Swedish National Pension Fund (AP2).
Anders is globally recognized for developing well-thought-out strategies and successfully implementing and managing portfolios. He has been a cornerstone in building the internationally respected AP2 brand.
Until 2024, Anders was Head of Alternative Investments at AP2, where he led the alternative investment portfolio—including private equity, farmland, timber, real estate, infrastructure, and private debt. Under his leadership, the alternative portfolio grew from zero to represent more than one-third of AP2’s total assets under management, exceeding $45 billion USD.
In addition to overseeing all alternative assets, Anders was responsible for all externally managed public assets and led the global evaluation and selection of external asset managers.
A recognized pioneer in sustainable investing, Anders spearheaded AP2’s groundbreaking commitment to global farmland, positioning the fund at the forefront of biodiversity-conscious investment. He has consistently driven impact and climate-related investments without compromising financial returns.
Anders has integrated ESG principles across all alternative investments and actively advances responsible investment practices. He has served as Chair of the UN PRI
Daniel Zhang is the Managing Partner of FirstLight Capital. FirstLight Capital is a private equity manager specializing in Buy & Build strategy with c.US$2.3 billion in managed assets. The firm focuses on acquiring China-related opportunities and driving their transformative growth through business and financial engineering.
Before joining FirstLight Capital in March 2024, Daniel spent 16 years at Alibaba Group, where he was appointed Chief Executive Officer in May 2015 and Chairman of Alibaba Group in September 2019. He is a founding member of the Alibaba Partnership.
During his tenure at Alibaba, Daniel was a driving force behind key strategic initiatives including launch of Tmall, transformation of Alibaba towards a mobile-first ecosystem, creation of Double-Eleven Shopping Festival, establishment of Cainiao Network and Alibaba Business Operating System. His “New Retail” strategy transformed traditional commerce models globally. Daneil also led the integration of Alibaba’s data platforms and migration of core systems to Alibaba Cloud, where he later took on key executive roles.
Daniel is currently a member of the China Advisory Council of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, as well as an independent non-executive director on the boards of the Saudi Tourism Authority and Hysan Development Company Limited. He previously served as a member of the World Economic Forum International Business Council and as the Co-Chair of the Consumer Goods Forum in both its Global and China divisions. Daniel graduated from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics with a bachelor’s degree in finance.
David Gross is the Co-Managing Partner of Bain Capital, a leading private investment firm with offices on four continents and approximately $185 billion in assets under management. He also serves as Asia Managing Partner. He joined the firm in 2000.
David is a founding member of Bain Capital’s Asia business, having launched and managed the Tokyo office in 2006. He was instrumental in the expansion of the Asia business in the region covering the firm’s activities across private equity, private credit, special situations, life sciences, and technology. David has led many of the most prominent transactions in the region over that period including Kioxia (formerly Toshiba Memory Corporation), Genpact (NYSE: G), Hero MotorCorp (NSE: HEROMOTOCO), Japan Wind Development, Macromill, Jupiter Shop Channel, Domino’s Pizza Japan, and Uniview Technologies. Prior to that, David was a key member of the team that formed the firm’s industrial and technology investment verticals, having worked on several transactions including UGS PLM Software, Innophos, US Internetworking, and MEI Conlux.
David also led the creation of Bain Capital’s Macro function which provides macroeconomic insights and investment strategies to benefit the broader platform in investment theme development as well as portfolio and risk management.
Prior to Bain Capital, David was a consultant with Bain & Company from 1998 - 2000 and worked with NEC Corporation in Tokyo from 1992 - 1996.
David earned an MBA from Harvard Business School where he was a Baker Scholar and a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
David is active on numerous non-profit boards including the Berklee College of Music, Boston Children’s Hospital Trust Board, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, the University of Pennsylvania School of Arts and Sciences Board of Overseers, and the advisory boards of the Kelly Writer’s House and the Center for the Advanced Study of India, both at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also a board member of Atalanta Bergamasca Calcio S.p.A.
Gaurav Trehan (Mumbai) joined KKR in 2020. He is a Partner, Co-Head of KKR Asia Pacific, Head of Asia Pacific Private Equity, and Chief Executive Officer for KKR India. Prior to joining KKR, he spent more than fifteen years with TPG Capital Asia and was most recently a partner in its India office. He has led and executed private equity transactions across a diverse range of sectors in India from financial services to retail and healthcare. Prior to joining TPG, he worked in the mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring department of Morgan Stanley with a focus on the technology sector. Mr. Trehan holds a BS in mathematics/applied science and economics from UCLA.
Greg is the Global Co-Head of Private Equity at APG Asset Management US Inc.
Prior to joining APG US, Mr. Jania was a Managing Director, Partner, and member of the investment committee at WP Global Partners, a 25-person, $2 billion private equity firm founded in 2005. WP Global’s clients include sovereign wealth funds, international insurance companies, endowments, and pension plans. WP Global invested in global buyout, debt, and venture funds and was also an active co-investor.
Prior to that, Mr. Jania was a Senior Vice President in the Investment Management Group of GE Commercial Finance, which managed a $2.5 billion private equity portfolio consisting of over 230 buyout, mezzanine, and venture funds and direct equity investments. Prior to joining GE, he was Vice President at One Equity Partners, a subsidiary of Bank One that invested more than $1 billion in private equity funds during his tenure and managed a $2.2 billion private equity portfolio with over 125 fund investments. Mr. Jania started his career in credit analysis and debt underwriting at American National Bank, a subsidiary of Bank One in Chicago.
Mr. Jania received an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago and earned a B.A. in political science and economics, magna cum laude, from Wabash College where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Harj Shoan is a Senior Managing Director at Ontario Teachers’. Based in Toronto, he leads activities globally in both Funds and Sustainable Energy Transition within our Private Capital team. Harj joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2014 and has over two decades of experience in international private equity, investment banking, and corporate finance. He is also a member of the Equities Underwriting Committee.
Since joining the organization, Harj has led a number of transactions, including Arterra Wines, Shearer’s Snacks, Traeger Grills, Munchkin, BRG (Bell/Riddell/Giro), Bass Pro/Cabela’s, Unifoods, and Alqueria. Harj currently sits on the boards of Arterra Wines and Traeger Grills.
Prior to his current roles, Harj has held numerous leadership positions within Private Capital, including responsibility for the global Portfolio Management practice, as well as being a lead member of the Consumer & Retail direct investing team.
Previously, Harj worked for Imperial Capital, Morgan Stanley Private Equity (U.K.), Shoppers Drug Mart, and BMO Nesbitt Burns.
Harj holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Hemal Mirani leads the firm’s efforts in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. As Head of APAC, she is the lead executive responsible for our business in the region. Hemal also works closely with the firm’s regional leaders in the Americas and Europe and the Middle East (EMEA). Together, they ensure global alignment on key initiatives and the continued delivery of excellence across our business around the globe.
Hemal first joined HarbourVest in 1997 and spent 11 years developing relationships with leading Asian private equity managers. She also worked with our investors and consultants across the region to advance and optimize their private market investment programs. She then spent six years with CVC Capital Partners in Hong Kong, where she was head of investor relations in Asia and Chief Administrative Officer. She rejoined HarbourVest’s senior management team in Asia in 2015 to focus on investments and investor relations across the Asia Pacific region.
Hemal received a BA in Commerce from Sydenham College (Bombay) in 1989, an MA in International Studies with a Japanese language concentration from the Joseph H. Lauder Institute, and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School in 1997. The latter two were part of a joint degree program at the University of Pennsylvania. Hemal speaks fluent Japanese.
Jean Eric Salata is the Chairman of EQT Asia and Head of Private Capital Asia. He previously founded Baring Private Equity Asia in 1997 and led the management buyout that established BPEA as an independent firm, which eventually became one of the largest private equity firms in Asia. In 2022, BPEA merged with the Swedish-listed firm EQT to create a global private markets firm spanning the US, Europe, and Asia.
EQT in Asia has 350 team members across 8 offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, and Sydney. EQT has invested approximately USD35 billion in the Asia Pacific region since 1997 in over 180 transactions across our Private Capital, Infrastructure, and Real Estate strategies. EQT’s portfolio in Asia employs more than 410,000 people.
Mr Salata brings an international perspective, having lived in Chile as a child, completed his education in the United States and lived and worked in Asia since 1989. Mr. Salata graduated magna cum laude from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Finance and Economics.
Keisuke Honda is a Co-Founder and General Partner of X&. Mr. Honda is a Japanese professional soccer player, former head coach of Cambodia's national team, angel investor and entrepreneur. He achieved goals and assists in three consecutive World Cups, which is the sixth best in history. As for investments, Mr. Honda has executed more than 200 investments globally. In 2016, he launched KSK Angel Fund (Japan-focused) and in 2018 established Dreamers VC (US-focused) with Will Smith. He recently launched the X&KSK Fund, which focuses on investing in Japanese startups with global aspirations.
Mike is global head and chief investment officer of the External Investing Group (XIG) within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. XIG invests in leading private equity, hedge fund, real estate, infrastructure, credit, public market and Impact managers as a limited partner, secondary-market investor, co-investor or management company partner. He also serves on the group's investment committees across asset classes. Mike also serves as a member of the Partnership Committee.
Previously, Mike was co-head of the Goldman Sachs Vintage Secondaries platform. Before joining XIG, he was a portfolio manager in the Fixed Income Group, focusing on high yield and emerging market debt. Mike joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in the Investment Management Division in 1995 and was named managing director in 2004 and partner in 2012.
Mike serves as a member of the Advisory Board at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
Mike earned a BA in International Affairs from the University of California, Davis, an MBA from Columbia Business School and an MIA from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University. He is a CFA charterholder.
Phillip Wong is responsible for private markets investments in buyout, technology, infrastructure and private credit at the HKMA. Mr Wong joined the HKMA in 2013 and has been covering private equity investments before taking up his current role in 2022. Prior to joining the HKMA, Mr Wong worked in Global Investment Research at Goldman Sachs. Mr Wong received a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Finance and Risk Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Mr. O’Leary serves as co-Chief Executive Officer, primarily focused on overseeing the organization and performance of Oaktree’s investment teams. He is also portfolio manager for the firm’s Global Opportunities strategy, leading the group’s investment activities in North America. In this capacity, he contributes to the analysis, portfolio construction and management of both the Global Opportunities and Value Opportunities strategies. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2002, he worked at McKinsey & Company, where he was a consultant, and Orion Partners, a private equity firm, where he focused on investments in private companies. Mr. O’Leary graduated magna cum laude from Pomona College with a B.A. degree in economics, and he received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Tadasu Matsuo leads JST’s alternative investment from January, 2022.
Before joining JST, he led HarbourVest Partners Japan as a managing director and co-head from April, 2020. As a head of alternative investment, he oversaw Japan Post Insurance’s alternative investment, ranging from private equity and infrastructure funds to real estate and hedge funds since September 2016. Before joining JP Insurance, he headed Daido Life’s alternative investment.
Served as Senior Managing Director, he also engaged in private equity fund investment and headed a business development of Alternative Investment Capital (AIC), a leading private equity FOF manager and gatekeeper in Japan. Before seconded from Daido Life to AIC, he managed Daido Life's private equity and other alternative investment for five years. Previously he was in charge of group's business development and investor relations at T&D Holdings, a listed holding company of Daido Life.
Prior to joining Daido Life, Mr. Matsuo held such posts as Director and Managing Director and served as an M&A advisor to various insurers' transactions at PwC Financial Advisory Services Japan from 1999 to 2002. Earlier in his career, he worked for Nippon Life Insurance Company for 13 years, where he managed overseas sovereign credit loans and investments.
Mr. Matsuo received his MBA from Duke University and BA in Economics from The University of Tokyo. He passed the US CPA exams.
Teia is a Senior Investment Director in the Private Equity Funds and Co-Investment team at USS Investment Management (~£75bn AUM), the corporate pension plan for universities in the United Kingdom. She is responsible for leading the execution and management of private equity funds and co-investment allocations across all sectors and geographies, and sits on various supervisory boards. From June 2020 to June 2025 Teia was a member of the ILPA Board of Directors of which she served the last 2 years as Chair of the Board. Following her role on the board Teia is now a member of the ILPA Policy committee, engaging in policy, regulations and standard setting for the Private Equity Industry. Prior to joining USS in 2011, Teia was an investment banker at Goldman Sachs in the Healthcare division. She holds a MSc in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School, and her university studies included an MBA term at IIM Ahmedabad, India.
Amanda Chen joined HarbourVest in 2017 and focuses on sourcing, reviewing, executing, and monitoring primary fund investments in the Asia Pacific region.
Amanda joined the Firm from AlpInvest Partners in Hong Kong, where she was a senior associate responsible for sourcing, conducting due diligence, and executing private equity and venture capital fund opportunities in Asia. Prior to that, she was an investment banking analyst in the Asia Pacific Industrials Group at Citigroup Global Investment Banking.
Amanda received a BS in Finance from New York University in 2010. She speaks fluent Mandarin.
Bei is the Chief Investment Officer of Advance Treasury and Fingerboard Family Office, where she is responsible for the investment of the single-family office, the family foundation, as well as the Advance corporate liquid assets. Headquartered in New York City, Advance is a private, family-owned enterprise for the past 100 years, with businesses spanning across media, entertainment, communications, technology and education globally. Advance’s portfolio of exceptional companies includes Condé Nast, Advance Local, Stage Entertainment, The IRONMAN Group, American City Business Journals, Leaders Group, Turnitin, and POP. Advance is also among the largest shareholders in Charter Communications, Warner Bros. Discovery and Reddit. Bei has established a reputation as a long-term investor with a significant background in portfolio management, alternative investments and strategic planning. Prior to Advance, Bei was the CIO for Endowments and Foundations at Northern Trust, where she was the Chairwoman for the Endowments and Foundations Investment Committee and a voting member of the Investment Oversight Committee of the OCIO program of $130B+. Previously, she was the Director of Alternatives at Helmsley Charitable Trust. Before that, she held senior investment and management positions at Pfizer, Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan. Bei is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Victoria Foundation and the Knowles Foundation. She is a member of the Advisory Council for Alternative Investments at the Sponsors for Educational Opportunity.
Ben Hart is a Partner and Head of Investor Relations (Asia) at Adams Street Partners, where he focuses on the firm’s institutional and private wealth relationships across the region. Ben is a 25-year Asia resident with over 20 years’ experience in the venture-backed tech and private equity markets.
Prior to joining Adams Street, Ben worked at Swiss-based private equity firm Capital Dynamics, where he served as Managing Director and COO, Asia, overseeing the firm’s business development efforts in Asia and North America.
Before joining Capital Dynamics, Ben spent over a decade working with VC and PE-backed tech firms in China and across Asia on their market development strategies. He served as Managing Director, Asia, at Aircom International, and also held senior positions at Convergys Corporation, Alliance Digital, Inc., and the JM Network.

Brian is a Partner and Head of Pantheon’s Asia and Emerging Markets Investment teams, and is a member of Pantheon’s International Investment Committee, its Asian and Global Co-investment and Primary Committees.
Prior to joining Pantheon, Brian was a Portfolio Director at CDC Group where he helped build their Asia and Emerging Markets private markets portfolio, and before that he worked at Watson Wyatt.
Brian is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, and holds an MBA from the London Business School, and a BSc in Actuarial Science from City University of London. Brian is a member of the GPCA Board of Directors and the Chair of its Asia Council.
Brooke Zhou is Partner of LGT Capital Partners, she co-leads LGT CP’s private equity business in Asia. LGT Capital Partners is a leading institutional alternative asset and fund of funds manager, currently managing over USD 100 billion AuM on a global basis and over 600 private equity professionals worldwide. The firm is headquartered in Pfäffikon, Switzerland (near Zurich) and has offices in Hong Kong, Beijing, Tokyo, Sydney, New York, Raleigh, Dublin, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Vaduz and Dubai.
Prior to joining LGT Capital Partners in 2010, Ms. Zhou was with CDH Investments, a leading Chinese private equity manager, based in Beijing. Prior to CDH Investments, Ms. Zhou spent her career at Bain & Company in Shanghai, as well as Oracle Corporation in Redwood Shores, California.
Ms. Zhou earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Ms. Zhou grew up in Shanghai and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Carolina Espinal joined HarbourVest in 2004 to focus on partnership investments in Europe and other emerging markets and became a Managing Director in 2015. Carolina focuses on managing European venture capital and buyout partnership investments and has collaborated with the secondary and co-investment groups on several investment opportunities. Carolina is also the Chair of the Firm’s Primary Investment Committee. She serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by CVC Capital Partners, Inflexion, and Advent International.
Her previous experience includes two years as a financial analyst with the Merrill Lynch Energy and Power mergers and acquisitions team in Houston.
Carolina graduated from Rice University with a BA in Managerial Studies, Policy Studies, and Economics in 2000. She received an MSc in Finance from the London Business School in 2003. Carolina speaks fluent Spanish and French.
Cindy Yan leads the investment activities and portfolio management for Private Capital direct investment in the Asia-Pacific region for Ontario Teachers’. She is based in Ontario Teachers’ Singapore office.
She has over two decades of combined experience in Private Equity, Management Consulting and General Management/Corporate Operations. Prior to joining Ontario Teachers, Cindy was a Partner with Advantage Partners, an established Japan and Asia focused mid-cap buyout firm, where she led various buyout and late-stage growth investments, and Japan/Asia cross border portfolio value creation in Asia Pacific countries including Japan, Greater China and Southeast Asia. The investments are across Technology, Industrial, Business Services, and Health/Consumer sectors. Prior to that, she worked at Boston Consulting Group and the 999 Group.
Cindy holds a BA from Sichuan International Studies University and MBA from Harvard Business School.
Doug joined the Guardians of NZ Super in 2018 and is the strategy lead for Private Equity where he oversees the strategy and global implementation across PE, Growth & VC. His role straddles asset allocation and portfolio management, with the application of a total portfolio approach being a key focus.
Doug’s career spans over 25yrs where he has held a variety of buy-side and sell-side investment roles. He was Head of Equities for ANZ Private Bank (NZ) before moving to Hong Kong with HSBC (2013-2018) where he spent much of his time in the Global Research division (part of Global Banking & Markets) helping to establish and run their research offering to wealth clients. Originally from the UK, Doug started his career in the technology field.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Physics from the University of Manchester, UK and an MBA (dist.) from the University of Canterbury, NZ.
Doug Coulter joined LGT Capital Partners in 2007 to lead its Asia-Pacific private equity investment activities. Prior to LGT, Doug was a Senior Investment Officer at the IFC, the private sector investment arm of the World Bank, responsible for direct investments in the TMT, retail & consumer and healthcare sectors. He previously worked at Nomura Securities in Hong Kong and as a lawyer at Fasken in Toronto. He holds an MBA from INSEAD, a M.Sc. from the LSE, a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and a B.A. from Queen’s University in Canada.

Edward J. Grefenstette serves as President/CIO of The Dietrich Foundation, a ~$1.5 billion foundation formed following the passing of Bill Dietrich II in 2011 that supports higher education institutions and other civic organizations in Pennsylvania. Ed previously served as Treasurer/CIO of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Prior to CMU, he co-founded a PE fund, following a career in investment banking and law. He earned his AB in Economics and JD from Georgetown University and an MBA from CMU. He serves on several boards/investment committees, including CMU and UPMC. He is a frequent speaker on topics related to PE/VC, particularly in the emerging markets.
Fetriza Rinaldy is the Head of ESG at Indonesia Investment Authority (INA), where she spearheaded the ESG framework for Indonesia’s first sovereign wealth fund, integrating ESG into investment decisions across a portfolio of around USD 10 billion AUM. With over 14 years of experience spanning sovereign wealth funds, impact investing, corporate sustainability, and environmental consulting, she actively contributes to the SWF and asset owner community, advancing ESG integration and sustainable investment practices.
Frankie Fang is a founding managing partner of Starquest Capital, a private equity firm in China that focuses on Technology, Consumer and Healthcare. Mr. Fang lead the firm’s FoF investment as well as ESG implementation,through which Starquest Capital became the first RMB FoF in China that joined United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) in 2018 and the first Asian firm that won the UNPRI Awards 2019 “Emerging Markets Initiative of the Year.” In 2025, Mr. Fang was appointed as a Listing Committee member of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (the Exchange) and became the first member from the FoF industry, pioneering a new path for the industry.
Prior to founding Starquest Capital in 2017, Mr. Fang served as head of LGT Capital Partners in China for 12 years. LGT is privately owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein with over USD 100 billion in assets under management. During his career, Mr. Fang has invested over $3 billion in the Chinese private equity market and led investments in a number of PE/VC funds by CITIC Capital, Hongshan, Legend Capital, Primavera Capital, Source Code Capital and Gaorong Ventures, etc. Mr. Fang also serves on advisory committees of over 20 funds in China.
Mr. Fang has been actively involved in public service. In education field, Mr. Fang is a career mentor for Master of Finance Program at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management, an industry advisor at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Entrepreneur Camp, a founder and donor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Zheng Yang Scholarship as well as INSEAD Frankie Fang Scholarship. In social service field, Mr. Fang is a FoF committee member at Asset Management Association of China, a judge in venture capital field for Forbes China 2020 "30 Under 30", a council member of Future Forum Youth Council, which established the Future Science Prize hailed as the Chinese Nobel Prize, and a donor of Teach in China, which is an educational non-profit project.
Mr. Fang received a BA in Finance and Accounting from Antai College of Economics and Management, Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2000, a MBA from INSEAD Business School in 2006, and an EMBA from Tsinghua University People’s Bank of China School of Finance in 2018. Mr. Fang holds a Chinese CPA qualification. Mr. Fang’s native language is Mandarin Chinese and he is fluent in English, French and Cantonese and conversational proficient in Japanese.
Ms Tang Hsiao Ching is the Head of Private Wealth, Investor Solutions at Seviora. Hsiao Ching joined Seviora in May 2025 from Azalea, where she was Managing Director, Investor Solutions & Marketing. Before Azalea, she led investor relations at a multi-family office that offers investment management solutions across private markets and public markets. Kelvin Yap joined HarbourVest’s London office in 2006 to focus on growth equity and buyout co-investments in Europe and Asia Pacific. Kelvin relocated to Singapore in 2021 to assist with the opening of that office.

Luise Dziobek-Garrett is a Manager at Northwestern University’s Investment Office where she focuses on public and private equity investments and leads the endowment’s asset allocation strategy. Paul Mace serves as Managing Director focusing on private equity (buyouts, venture capital, and real estate). Before he was at Tufts, he was a Senior Associate at Regent Associates International. Mr. Mace holds his M.B.A. from the F.W. Pavan has over 20 years experience in finance and banking starting his career in Australia working as a lawyer. He then moved to New York to take up a number of roles at Citigroup, including Investment banking and working on their Private Equity Fund of Funds. He then returned to Australia in 2011 to work for Quentin Ayers, one of Australia’s premier alternative asset consultants, where he advised Australian Superannuation funds on their private equity, credit and infrastructure portfolios. In 2016 he moved to Singapore to join a new family office, Golden Alpha, where he is currently leading the private market investments globally.

Praneet Garg is a Managing Director in Asia Alternatives’ Hong Kong office. Mr. Garg is on the Firm’s Investment Committee. Mr. Garg co-leads Asia Alternatives’ investments in India and Southeast Asia, and is primarily responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, deal execution and portfolio management of private equity fund investments and direct co-investments in these geographies. His career spans the full investment lifecycle, including portfolio strategy, origination, evaluation, structuring, and active management of investments across multiple asset classes. Christine Wang has been working in the Foreign Direct Investments field since 2010. Chris Mikosh is the Portfolio Manager and Co-Founder of Tor Investment Management, a leading independent alternative credit manager in Asia with over $2.4 billion under management. Chris has over 25 years of direct credit investing and trading experience. Prior to Tor, he was Managing Director and Head Trader of the Asian Special Situations Group (ASSG) at Goldman Sachs (2000–2012). During his tenure, Chris was responsible for managing, sourcing, trading, and hedging a multi-asset class portfolio that averaged $3 billion. While at Goldman, Chris sat on the Asia Risk Committee and the Board of Goldman Sachs (Asia) Finance, the firm’s main investing entity in the region. Chris also sat on the Liquid Investing Committee for Non-Japan Asia, the Liquid Investing Committee for Japan, and the Illiquid Investing Committee in the US. Prior to Goldman, Chris spent four years at Lazard Frères as a desk analyst and then as Head Trader of the distressed and high-yield debt desk. Prior to that, he spent two years as a banker in Chase Securities’ high-yield origination group. Chris earned a dual degree BS in Finance and Computer Science/Management Information Systems from Boston College in 1994. David Fann is a Partner, Senior Managing Director, and Head of Investor Relations. He joined VSS in 2024. David has executive leadership roles in organizations that have invested over $50 billion in private equity, private credit, real assets and real estate for institutional clients and limited partners. Prior to joining VSS, David was Vice Chairman of Apogem Capital, a subsidiary of New York Life Investment Management.
Previously, he was a Partner and Vice Chairman of Aksia LLC. He was also a co-founder, President and CEO of TorreyCove Capital Partner LLC (merged with Aksia in 2020) and was President and CEO of PCG Asset Management. He was a Managing Director (Head of Alternatives) of US Trust and started his career at Citibank, where he was a Vice President of Citicorp Venture Capital Ltd.

Frederic Neumann, PhD, is Managing Director, Chief Asia Economist, and Co-Head Global Research Asia, based in Hong Kong. Jake Fisher is the Head of Sales for Hong Kong and the Global Head of FX Solutions at Apex Group. Based in Hong Kong, Jake is responsible for driving the growth of fund administration and asset servicing for private equity, hedge fund and real asset funds across North Asia. Jake is also responsible for leading Apex’s global FX offering, providing global treasury solutions to Apex’s clients.
Jake was formerly the Director and Head of China Cross-Border Sales at BMO Capital Markets, based in Hong Kong. In his role he was responsible for Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income Sales to institutional investors seeking access to China’s bond market and supporting international corporations requiring foreign exchange, trade finance and cash management in Mainland China.

Jim Dubow is a Managing Director with Alvarez & Marsal, splitting his time between Hong Kong and San Francisco. He leads A&M North Asia, one of the firm’s most dynamic and rapidly growing areas.
Mr. Dubow and the Asia team bring A&M’s hands-on and action-oriented approach to private equity, banking and corporate clients in all our disciplines, including pre-acquisition due diligence, performance improvement, restructuring, fraud investigations and data analytics.

Prior to joining A&M Asia to establish its China operations, Mr. Dubow was with A&M’s U.S. corporate restructuring practice. There he helped companies improve performance while preparing to emerge from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection or sell their assets under court protection, often taking officer positions during the process. Mr. Dubow started his career assisting multinationals in negotiating joint ventures and establish operations in China.

Nozomi Oda is a partner based in Morrison Foerster’s Tokyo office, and she serves as Head of our Asia Private Equity practice. Nozomi’s practice focuses on cross-border public and private M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments, and life sciences. She has a particular emphasis on advising private equity and life sciences clients.
In addition to her work in private practice, Nozomi previously spent two years with Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) as a deputy director of the corporate disclosure department, where she participated in the drafting of the FSA’s regulations on disclosures regarding tender offers, private placement offerings and director compensation.

Oliver Stratton is a Managing Director for Alvarez & Marsal's Asian practice in Hong Kong. With 30 years of experience in consulting and private equity in Asia, his primary areas of concentration are business strategy, performance improvement, operational turnarounds and M&A. Mr. Stratton has worked with private equity and corporate clients across a range of industries including financial services, telecommunications, consumer goods and retail, industrial products and services, education, transportation and logistics and energy and resources.
Prior to joining A&M, Mr. Stratton spent 20 years with Bain & Company, including 10 years as a Partner. Mr. Stratton also spent two years as a Managing Director with Candover as part of its Asia leadership team.
In these roles Mr. Stratton has served many of the global, regional and major local country funds operating in Asia. Working with those clients, he has led operational and commercial due diligence and portfolio company performance improvement assignments across a range of industry sectors in Greater China, Korea and Southeast Asia.
Mr. Stratton earned an MA in engineering from Cambridge University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. A British national, Mr. Stratton has been based in Hong Kong since 1988.
Pang Lee routinely advises on partnership, corporate and securities law matters related to the organization and investment in private funds and strategic investments in the tech industry. Pang has worked closely with members of the Hong Kong start-up community cultivating its emerging companies ecosystem, with a particular focus in healthcare and emerging technology companies. Pongpat Tantivashinchai, known as Pom, is a Partner at our Bangkok office, bringing a wealth of experience and a global perspective to private equity investments in Thailand and the Indochina region. At Navis, Pom plays a crucial role in driving investments Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia. He oversees portfolios in critical sectors such as K-12 education platform, healthcare, consumer-related businesses, and sustainable manufacturing, leveraging his industry knowledge and strategic executions of growth initiatives. Pom began his career in investment banking at RBS in London, focusing on M&A and ECM across Europe, before joining Standard Chartered Thailand as AVP in Commodities and Agribusiness, managing major agribusiness clients and developing sector insights. Mr. Mohinani is a Partner in Ares Asia, where he focuses on credit. Additionally, Mr. Mohinani is a member of the Secured Lending Funds Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2020, Mr. Mohinani was the Managing Director of the SSG Group since 2015 and was instrumental in growing the firm's Asia business, including identifying opportunities, structuring investments and asset management. Previously, Mr. Mohinani was responsible for Nomura's Asia credit desk analysis, overseeing high grade, high yield, illiquids and distressed across sovereigns, banks and corporates. In addition, Mr. Mohinani was at Lehman Brothers from May 2005, where he also headed the bank's Asia Pacific credit research effort. Mr. Mohinani began his career in research roles at Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan. Ms. Pratibha Jain is the Head of Strategy and Group General Counsel at Everstone Group. Prior to Everstone, Pratibha was a Partner at Nishith Desai Associates where she founded their New Delhi office, and lead their Funds and Regulatory practice. She’s an alumnus of Harvard Law School, Oxford University and Delhi University. She brings with her a breadth of international and Indian experience having worked with Sullivan & Cromwell in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong, with Skadden Arps Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP in Hong Kong and Goldman Sachs in Mumbai.

Rafael Ratzel has been an integral part of TH Capital (华控基金) in Beijing since 2016, spearheading the firm's international initiatives as the head of TH Capital International. Renuka Ramnath is one of the most experienced private equity fund managers in India, with a career of over 35 years in financial services across private equity, investment banking, and structured finance. Ms. Ramnath started her career with the ICICI group, which culminated in becoming the MD & CEO of ICICI Venture. She was instrumental in building it into one of the largest private equity funds in the country. Richard Kunzer is a Founding Partner of Integrum Holdings and member of the Investment Committee.
Previously, Richard was a Partner and Co-Head of Investor Relations for the transatlantic private investment firm BC Partners, based in New York, which he joined in 2009. Whilst at BC Partners, Richard spearheaded and was involved in the raising of over $33 billion in equity and debt capital across funds, co-investments and separately managed accounts.
Richard has led or was involved in the syndication of almost $10 billion in equity and debt co-investment in over 20 companies across the TMT, business and financial services, healthcare, consumer and retail and industrial sectors.
Other companies he previously worked at include Credit Suisse in New York and London, Paribas, and Singer & Friedlander in London, where he helped facilitate the sale of the bank to another financial services institution.
Richard has strong links across the global investor and financial sponsors community globally where he is close to senior decision makers to these organizations.
Before working in finance, Richard spent four years in the British Army as a Captain in an Armored Reconnaissance regiment. Postings included Canada and Germany, as well as an active-duty tour of Bosnia.
Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne in the north of England, Richard is a U.S. and British Citizen and has lived in New York since 2004.

Rodney Muse. Mr. Muse is one of two Managing Partners of Navis and an Investment Committee member. At Navis, Mr. Muse leads investment teams in making, monitoring and exiting investments and sits on the boards and/or executive committees of several Navis portfolio companies. He has been active in many of Navis’ investments in consumer goods, food, business services, industrial goods and services.
Mr. Muse co-founded Navis in 1998 with Mr. Bloy and Mr. Foyston, with whom he worked while at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At BCG, he worked in Sydney and Kuala Lumpur, where he gained experience in a number of industries including consumer goods, retail, oil and gas, distribution, primary resources and more. He started his career with Chase Manhattan Bank in 1985 in New York and Hong Kong.

Satoru Arakawa has been an investment professional at J-STAR since 2007, and has focused on small-cap buyouts in Japan. Based in Tokyo, he has been involved in nine transactions and value-added activities for portfolio companies in the industrial and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining J-STAR, Arakawa worked for eight years in strategic consulting at Nomura Research Institute, where he engaged in strategic advisory and business improvements for a broad range of sectors, including PE-backed companies.
Saurabh Chatterjee is a Managing Director at ChrysCapital where he manages the Fundraising and LP Relations functions, and is also a voting member of the firm’s investment committee. Scott Jalowayski has over 20 years of experience advising private equity funds, their portfolio companies, and other global and regional investment managers on complex investments and M&A transactions in Southeast Asia, China, and Japan.
His experience spans across a range of transaction types, including leveraged and unleveraged control acquisitions, minority investments, joint ventures, divestitures, and restructurings. His sector expertise covers life sciences and healthcare, interactive and digital media, technology, consumer products, and real asset and infrastructure enterprises.
Scott has significant digital infrastructure experience having advised multiple sponsors on data center acquisition, investment, and development projects in Australia, Korea, Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines.
Since July 2019, he has served as a Vice Chairman of CT Bright Holdings, a wholly owned investment subsidiary of C.P. Group, where he coordinates investment activities and strategic partnerships for the Chairman’s office across C.P. Group companies. He has also served as a Senior Advisor to C.P. Group Chairman Soopakij Chearavanont since July 2018. From June 2017 to June 2018, he was managing partner of R3 Capital Partners. From September 2011 to May 2017, Mr. Glodek was a Deputy CEO of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and a Director of the Russia China Investment Fund (RCIF), where he coordinated investment activity and a number of key strategic partnerships with Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Funds across the world to invest in Russia and selectively in China. Shane Chesson is a Founding Partner of Openspace Capital, a multi-strategy asset manager with a long-established specialist focus on Southeast Asia. Since 2014, the platform has expanded from Early Stage to Growth Stage, Web3 (Ocular), Credit (Onyx) and Listed Equities (Orbit) investment strategies.

Shao Ming is Chief Investment Officer of ABC Impact, a Pan-Asia impact private equity firm backed by Temasek Trust, Temasek, the Asian Development Bank, and other institutional investors. Prior to Aavishkaar Capital, Sowmya worked for a large agrifinance company, leading and managing strategic programs, including ESG management system and Impact framework to enhance sustainable financing to over 4 million smallholder farmers in India. Previously, as Head - CSR at Societe Generale GSC, a subsidiary of European banking major Societe Generale (SG), she designed and implemented the Corporate Citizenship (CSR) Strategy, Diversity and Sustainability Initiatives.
Sowmya is actively engaged with many industry bodies and forums, including first woman Vice Chairperson (South) of the IFCCI CSR Committee (2018-19) that aimed to create a common platform for CSR professionals from French Companies in India; Member IVCA’s Impact and Inclusivity Council (2022-24), Steering Committee Member of Greening Finance for Women (GRoW) since 2022. Steve Duncan is a Business Unit Partner at TPG Capital Asia based in Melbourne and has been with TPG since 2020. Steve is the Chairman of Made Group, one of Australia’s largest healthy food and beverage businesses and Five Good Friends, a technology-enabled homecare provider. He was previously a director of iNova Pharmaceuticals and logistics software company Containerchain.
Prior to joining TPG, Steve worked with CPE Capital across their Australia and Singapore offices for approximately nine years.

Steve Okun has served as GPCA’s Southeast Asia Senior Advisor since 2017. Steve is Founder and CEO of Singapore-based APAC Advisors and is a seasoned private equity professional. Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Mr. Singh was a Senior Vice President with Macquarie Asset Management (MAM). During 10 years with MAM, Mr. Singh was involved in building MAM's business in India and South-East Asia. In India, he led the acquisition of solar platform from Hindustan Power and the divestment of MAM's investment in GMR Airports. Mr. Singh was responsible for MAM's entry in Indonesia as he originated and executed their investments in Tower Bersama, one of the largest telecom tower companies in Indonesia. Mr. Singh started his career as an associate at SBI Capital Markets.

Thomas is Managing Partner and Head of Southeast Asia at CDH Investments, a leading alternative asset manager in Asia. Dr. Lanyi also co-leads CDH’s global China cross-border practice.

In his previous career at the Japanese government, he authored "The Limited Partnership Act for Venture Capital Investment" (enacted in 1998) in 1997-1998, which became the foundation of Japanese VC funds thereafter, and its related accounting/tax rules as well as VC fund performance measurement reports at the then Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI, now known as METI: the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry). He also authored "The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program" (enacted in 1999, as part of "Industrial Revival Act") at METI, "Copyright Management Business Act" (enacted in 2001) at Cultural Agency, and intellectual property-related articles of "Trust Business Law" (enacted in 2003) at Financial Services Agency. He left the government to initiate UTEC in 2004 to execute the ethos of the Limited Partnership Act.
Dr. Goji received his Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo's School of Engineering, earned his MBA at Stanford University, and graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law. During his doctoral research at the University of Tokyo's School of Engineering, he modeled the success factors of startups founded on science and technology, based on data science and network analysis, and demonstrated the importance of academic papers and other factors.

For the last 10 years with TPG, Zubin has built TPG’s value creation capability and operations team in Asia. Zubin works closely with the management teams in TPG’s portfolio companies, guiding the execution of the value creation plan and driving performance improvement. He has also been an Exco/Board member for several TPG portfolio companies in Asia over the past few years.
Zubin joined TPG from United Technologies Corporation (UTC) where he was the India Region President with P&L responsibility for Carrier Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Otis Elevators and UTC Fire & Security. Zubin started his career at McKinsey & Company, working in the Cleveland, Detroit, Copenhagen, and Mumbai offices.
