Mr. Lee is the CEO of Korea Venture Investment Corp. He previously served as Deputy Minister at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, overseeing SME and micro-enterprise policies. He has also held senior roles at the Ministry of Economy and Finance and served as Counsellor at Korea’s OECD delegation. Earlier in his career, he worked with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific.

Mr. Lee holds a Master’s degree in European Studies and an MBA from the University of Birmingham, UK, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Seoul National University.

Mr Sean K.(Seung Kul) Lee is a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Alternative Investment Division at KIC. In this role, he oversees Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Absolute Return group which covers Hedge fund and private Credit, totaling over US$60 billion of assets under management. He joined KIC in 2010 and held a variety of investment and strategic roles. His previous responsibilities in KIC include head of Investment Strategy & Innovation Division and head of Real Estate Group. 

Mr. Lee has over 23 years of experience related to infrastructure, real estate, fixed income, and asset allocation. Prior to joining KIC, he was head of product development team for IBK - Société Générale asset management where he initiated and launched various global products such as Market neutral strategy, India Infrastructure and Gold Mining equity fund. Previously he spent over 6 years in Investment Banking at Samsung Group. 

Mr. Lee holds LL.B. degree from Sungkyunkwan University in Korea, Master’s degree in finance from Michigan State University and Master’s degree in real estate from National University of Singapore. 

He is also a Member of Management Board at ANREV, and Advisory board member of KAMCO, PMAA and KORAD.

Carolyn (Kyung Eun) Lee is a Director at KPMG Korea with 12 years of experience in M&A advisory. She specializes in cross-border M&A and has provided M&A advisory service, including acquisitions, divestments, strategic and financial advice. She has worked with a diverse client base, including multinational corporations, PEs, and SMEs across sectors such as manufacturing, consumer goods, life sciences, and technology.

She is a graduate of Brown University with a BA in Economics.

Charles Min joined Affinity Equity Partners in 2007 and is the Head of Affinity Equity Partners in Korea. Before joining Affinity, Charles spent four years in the Global Investment Research group at Goldman Sachs, covering the auto, steel and shipbuilding industries in Korea. Prior to that role, he worked at the corporate advisory department of Deloitte & Touche LLP, covering the North American TMT sector.

Charles received a Bachelor in Economics and International Relations from the University of British Columbia, and a Masters in Management and Professional Accounting from the University of Toronto.  He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder as well as a member of the CPA.

After completing her undergraduate degree at Georgetown, Cindy worked four years in investment banking at Credit Suisse in New York and Hong Kong.

Pursuing an MBA at Stanford fuelled her interest in start-ups. Transitioning to the investment sector, she joined D3Jubilee, an impact investment firm in Korea.

Since 2014, she's been with SBVA, investing in startups across Korea and Southeast Asia.

Mr. Kim is the Head of Private Equity and Venture Capital at Hanwha Life Insurance, where he manages the PE/VC portfolio and leads investing in funds and co-investment opportunities. Before joining Hanwha in 2016, Mr. Kim worked at the Corporate and Investment Banking franchise of BNP Paribas Seoul Branch. He began his career in the Investment Banking Division at NH Investment & Securities. Mr. Kim holds a BA in Business Administration from Seoul National University.

Do Young (Derek Kim) is CEO of Kakao Investment, a role he assumed in March 2025, and former CFO of Kolon Mobility Group.

Prior to joining Kolon, he led over 15 years at Samsung Securities as Head of M&A and sector lead for Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) investment banking, where he directed major transactions and strategic advisory mandates across multiple industries in South Korea.

Kim holds an MBA and a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University.

Dominic Goh joined HarbourVest in 2012 and focuses on secondary investments. This includes analyzing, structuring, and monitoring a wide range of secondary transaction types.

Dominic was previously at Coller Capital, where he evaluated secondary opportunities and contributed to deal sourcing and fundraising efforts in Asia. Prior to that, he was an investment banking associate at ABN AMRO London in the Financial Institutions Group.

Dominic received a BSc (first class honours) in Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2005. Dominic is fluent in Mandarin.

EC Cho joined CVC in 2021. He is a member of the CVC South Korea team and based in Seoul.

Prior to joining, Eun Chol was a Director of the investment team at Hahn & Company. He also worked at Looxid Labs, Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology and Next Elite.

Eun Chol holds a master's degree in Materials Science & Engineering from MIT and a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.

At IMM, Joseph is responsible for investments in Korea and Asia and cooperating with Korean and international investors on fund and co-investment opportunities. Previously, Joseph was with Fortress Investment Group in New York. Prior to joining Fortress, he was at Morgan Stanley’s New York office. Joseph served in the Republic of Korea Army as an officer and prior to that was an M&A attorney at Skadden, Arps in New York.

Joseph graduated from Princeton University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Heeeun Park is a Partner at Altos Ventures. She has invested in more than 80 companies with a focus on Korea and throughout Japan and Southeast Asia. When Altos Ventures expanded its presence to Korea with its first Korea fund in 2014, Heeeun joined as the first member of the Korea team. She has played a key role and actively contributed to the growth and success of the firm's investments in Korea. Last year, Altos closed its sixth Korea fund with $600 million. Prior to Altos, Heeeun was the founder and CEO of an online dating app in Korea, where she grew the company from a business plan to the largest mobile dating service in Korea.

Hojun Kim is a Director in the Private Capital Advisory group and covers investors in Asia. Hojun has been in the private market since 2012 across private equity investment and capital raising for various asset classes in private market.  

Prior to joining Lazard, Hojun was a Senior Portfolio Manager at National Pension Service of the Republic of Korea, where he worked on primary fund and co-investment in private equity. Hojun also worked for ORIX Private Equity Korea, a wholly-owned subsidiary of ORIX Group, where he was involved in transactions of private equity investment in South Korea. Hojun began his career at PwC.  

Hojun holds a MSc in Finance from London Business School and B.S in Economics from Sungkyunkwan University.

Jeff Kim is a Senior Managing Director at Pine Tree Fund, where he leads private credit and special situations investments outside of Korea and serves on the investment committee for Pine Tree Special Situations Fund.

Before joining Pine Tree in 2009, he held roles at GE Capital, Lehman Brothers, and Clearwater Capital Partners.  He has over 20 years of experience in restructuring, distressed debt, and special situations across Asia, the U.S., and Europe.

Jolie Chow is a Managing Director at PJT Partners and Asia head of PJT Park Hill’s Secondary Advisory Group, based in Hong Kong. Prior to joining PJT Partners, Ms. Chow spent 14 years at Morgan Stanley, where she leads Greater China financial sponsors coverage for the Investment Banking Division. She is experienced across secondary advisory, M&A, equity and debt financing in Asia Pacific.

Ms. Chow received an MBA from Harvard Business School, and a BA with distinction from Yale University in Economics and International Studies.

Kevin is an Investment Principal at Coller Capital responsible for origination and execution of private equity secondaries investments across Asia, and is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Kevin has over 15 years of experience in strategic advisory, M&A and private equity investments. Prior to joining Coller Capital, Kevin was an Investment Banking Associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong, where he focused on M&A executions across the Asia Pacific region. During his time at Morgan Stanley, he advised sponsors and corporates across China, Korea and Southeast Asia on numerous buyout and M&A transactions. He started his career as an Investment Banking Analyst at UBS in the Strategic Analysis Group based in London office. Kevin has a BA in Business Administration in Sungkyunkwan University in Korea and an MBA from London Business School.

Omesh is the Head of Private Credit at Onyx Credit Partners. He has close to 20 years of Credit and M&A experience, and was the Former Lead of Financial and Strategic Investors Group at Standard Chartered, working with private equity funds across S.E.A and Australia on advisory and financing in relation to their portfolio and investments. He has experience across M&A advisory, acquisition finance, growth lending, senior debt, mezzanine debt, and bonds.

Pamela is a partner and investment committee member for the Morgan Stanley Private Equity Solutions Team and has 18 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, Pamela was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company's corporate finance practice in Hong Kong, responsible for investment opportunity identification, deal advisory, merger management and strategy development. Previously, she was a management consultant with Monitor Group, specializing in marketing strategy for clients across Asia, and a member of the corporate finance team with Lehman Brothers in Hong Kong. Pamela has a Law degree (first class honors) from the University of Hong Kong and an M.B.A. with honors in finance and management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Raymond joined CPPIB in October 2019 and leads our Asia credit business. He is the chair of the APAC Credit Committee and a member of our Global Credit Committee. He is also the co-chair of the Credit Committee of The HKVCA. Prior to joining CPP Investments, he was a managing director at SSG Capital, responsible for special situations investments and secured lending in Greater China. 

Previously, Raymond was the head of Greater China at Intermediate Capital Group, senior fund manager at RAB Capital and head of Asia Asset Management at D.B. Zwirn. He started his career with HSBC, departing as a team head of the Real Estate Sector. 

Raymond holds a BSSc in Economics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from the EMBA program of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Ross focuses on the primary portfolio within the UK, Nordic Region, and France. He also covers pan-European managers and the large cap space. He is responsible for venture capital in Europe and Israel. Emerging markets coverage includes Africa, Russia, and Emerging Europe. 

Prior to joining Adams Street, he was an Investment Associate with Horsley Bridge, a global private equity fund of funds. Before that, he was in the Private Equity Group at Ernst & Young. 

Ross sits on the board of over twenty advisory boards for Adams Street including Index Ventures, Highland Capital, Mosaic, Aleph, TLV, HgCapital, Keensight, Livingbridge, Vitruvian, and TDR. 

He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He was also named one of venture capital’s 40 Rising Stars under 40 by Venture Capital Journal (VCJ) in January 2020. Winners were selected based on their accomplishments, expertise, and contributions to their firms and the industry.

Roy Kim is a Partner of TPG NewQuest, based in Hong Kong. Roy joined TPG NewQuest in 2024 and is responsible for the sourcing, execution, and portfolio management of investments across Developed Asia markets. Prior to joining TPG NewQuest, Roy was a Managing Director in CPPIB’s Private Equity Asia group. In that role, Roy helped lead the firm’s private equity investments in APAC across primary fund commitments, co-investments, and secondary investments. He also served on CPPIB’s Asia PE Investment Committee. Prior to that, Roy held various investment roles, covering multiple alternative asset classes at BlackRock’s Alternative Solutions Group, and global PE Secondaries at HarbourVest Partners. Roy started his career in Healthcare M&A at Lazard. Sangmyung Lee is a Director at the Private Equity Group of KIC. Since joining KIC in 2013, he took responsibility for Venture Capital and Growth Equity investments in the Private Equity Group. 

Sangmyung Lee also serves as a Strategist for the Private Equity Group.Since 2022, he has been a lecturer at the Korea Venture Capital Institution (KVCI), where he teaches Overseas VC investment to junior staff of local VC firms in Korea. In 2023, he was invited as a panelist to the Nobel Prize Dialogue in Seoul, where he discussed "AI and Future Learning."

Mr. Lee has a bachelor’s degree in Economics with honors Summa Cum Laude from the University of California Berkeley.

Seung-ki Jeong is Kiwoom Asset management’s alternative investment head of team.

He is responsible for investing in alternative assets. Prior to Kiwoom, he worked at DGB Life insurance as an alternative investment manager. Before DGB Life, he was MG Non-Life Insurance company’s alternative investment manager. He started his finance career at DB Financial Investment as an alternative investment analyst.

Soomin Kim is the founder and managing partner of UCK Partners. 

Before establishing UCK Partners, Mr. Kim was a partner of Bain & Company, where he set up and headed the firm’s Private Equity Group and M&A Group in Korea. Mr. Kim also worked in Investment Banking Division of Goldman Sachs in Hong Kong. 

Mr. Kim earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Seoul National University.

Stephanie is head of Asia Pacific Asset & Wealth Management and global co-head of Growth Equity.

Stephanie initially joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst. She worked in the Principal Investment Area in New York and then transferred to Hong Kong in 1997. Stephanie left Goldman Sachs in 1998 to attend graduate school, rejoined the firm as an associate in 2000 and became an executive director in 2003. She was named managing director in 2006 and partner in 2010.

Stephanie is a member of the global Board of Trustees of Asia Society. She also serves on the Board of Governors of the China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, the Board of Directors of the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, and Honorary Trustees of The Women's Foundation.

 Stephanie earned an AB in Biology, summa cum laude, from Harvard College in 1995 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 2000.

Sung Park is a Managing Director of Asia Alternatives and is based in the Firm’s Hong Kong office. Ms. Park is on the Firm’s Investment Committee and co-leads Asia Alternatives’ investments in Korea and Japan. Ms. Park is primarily responsible for deal sourcing, due diligence, deal execution and portfolio management of private equity fund investments and direct co-investments in Japan and Korea. Ms. Park also co-leads the Firm’s Special Situations and Secondaries and is an integral member of Asia Alternatives’ market research team. Ms. Park has over 17 years of experience in private equity investing, management consulting and business operations in Asia. Prior to joining Asia Alternatives, Ms. Park was a Senior Consultant at Corporate Value Associates (CVA) in the Seoul office, focusing on corporate strategy, operational improvement and due diligence for Korean conglomerates and multinational companies in technology, financial services and consumer industries. Previously, she worked at Sony Group as a product manager of semiconductor and electronic devices, focusing on marketing and sales functions. Tim Burroughs is managing editor of Asian Venture Capital Journal, having joined the publication in May 2011. Vincent Ng is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Asia, based in Hong Kong. He co-leads Partners Group’s overall business strategy and client engagement activities in Asia. Vincent has over two decades of experience in the finance industry and prior to joining Partners Group, he worked for 19 years as Partner and Head of Asia for Atlantic-Pacific Capital, Inc., which is one of the largest global, privately owned placement and advisory firms dedicated to raising capital for alternative investments. Vincent has also worked at Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance in Hong Kong and the London offices of Deloitte and Arthur Andersen. Vincent holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Economics from Queen Mary, University of London and a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. Mr. Park is a Managing Director in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on Asia credit. Prior to joining Ares in 2024, he was a Senior Investment Officer at Arkkan Capital, where focused on developing credit opportunities in Korea and Japan. Previously, Mr. Park was a Managing Director and Head of Korea and Japan in the Strategic Investment Group at Deutsche Bank, where he focused on distressed and special situation opportunities as well as private lending and public debt securities trading businesses. In addition, Mr. Park was an Analyst and Asset Manager at Morgan Stanley Properties in Korea, where he specialized in real estate and real estate related distressed loan portfolio investments in Korea and the Greater China region. Mr. Park holds a B.S. from the Boston University's School of Management in Finance.

Yeon Jung is a senior investment professional with over 15 years of experience in global private markets, having committed nearly $5 billion. She currently leads private equity investments at Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance. At Korea’s National Pension Service Investment Management, she built expertise across all major strategies and regions in private markets. Yeon holds an MPA from Columbia University in the City of New York and dual BAs from Yonsei University.

Yu Kyeong Kim has been based in South Korea since 2010, where she heads a team of financial journalists across Seoul and other key parts of Asia for Mergermarket.
