The Global Private Capital Association (GPCA)
https://www.globalprivatecapital.org/The Global Private Capital Association (GPCA), which was founded as the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA) in 2004, is a non-profit, independent membership organization representing private capital investors who manage more than USD2t in assets across Asia, Latin America, Africa, Central & Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
United by a long-term investment approach, GPCA’s members include institutional investors across private equity, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets, pension plans and sovereign wealth funds, among others.
With headquarters in New York and Singapore, GPCA includes LAVCA, the Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America, which operates as a parallel membership organization with its own dedicated team and board.
ILPA
https://ilpa.orgThe Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA) is the leading global, member-driven organization dedicated to advancing the interests of private equity limited partners through industry-leading education programs, independent research, best practices, networking opportunities and global collaborations. Initially founded as an informal networking group, the ILPA is a voluntary association funded by its members. ILPA membership has grown to include almost 400 organizations from around the world representing almost 50% of global institutional assets under management in private equity.
SICC
Founded in Singapore in 1837, SICC’s purpose was and still is to help businesses and Singapore succeed. Its diverse members form an inclusive, silo-free, ecosystem with an edge where members connect, collaborate, engage, learn, share and succeed. 50% of Chamber members are Singaporean owned businesses and 50% foreign owned. Half are large organizations including multinationals and half are medium, small and start-up companies from all sectors of the economy.
The SICC ecosystem champions anti-ageism in the workforce and in society for commercial and societal success. SICC also champions positive workplace culture where employers and employees co-create and sustain workplaces where foreign and local talent are integrated, developed and enabled to excel to achieve personal and commercial success.
SICC’s annual business awards celebrate collaborative innovation because that is often the fastest way to innovate and succeed. Last, but not least, SICC advocates the transitioning of businesses and society to circular models of production and consumption to achieve true sustainability for our planet and species in a circular economy.
SVCA
http://www.svca.org.sgThe Singapore Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (SVCA) was formed in 1992 under the patronage of the Economic Development Board to promote the development of the venture capital (VC) and private equity (PE) industry. From a humble start of two, our membership now exceeds one hundred and continues to grow in tandem with the industry's development.
To foster greater understanding of the importance of venture capital and private equity to the Singapore economy in support of entrepreneurship and innovation and to look after the interests of our members, promote professional development, raise professional standards as well as facilitate collaboration among members.
As a not-for-profit organisation, the association strives to:
- Promote the professional development of the industry through awards, training, workshops and conference
- Facilitate interaction and collaboration among its members through regular networking events
- Act as a platform for dialogue on regulatory and policy issues pertaining to VC and PE through data research, feedback and consultation with members and regulatory authorities
- Build linkages to centres of VC and PE activities in the region through active participation at regional and global VC & PE Initiatives
