Prior to moving to China, he trained and worked as a journalist in the UK. With over two decades of experience, he has played a pivotal role in advancing Indonesia’s financial technology, digital infrastructure, and sustainable energy initiatives. Pandu holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago (2001), an MBA from Stanford University (2007), and an Executive MBA from Tsinghua University’s One Belt One Road Program (2020).

Pandu Patria Sjahrir has played a pivotal role in Indonesia’s investment and business landscape, particularly in energy transition, digital infrastructure, and financial technology. As the first employee and Vice President of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (2010 – 2025), he has led the company’s transformation into a key player in sustainable energy, with a commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030. His leadership extends to Electrum, driving the development of Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem. In the fintech sector, he has chaired the Indonesia Fintech Association (AFTECH) since 2021, advocating for digital financial inclusion and regulatory advancements. Elected Chairman of the Electric Mobility Ecosystem Association (AEML) in 2025, he continues to champion Indonesia’s transition to electric mobility. As Founding Partner of AC Ventures (2020 –2025) and Managing Partner of Indies Capital Partners (2017 – 2025), he has backed major startups such as Gojek, Sea Limited, and Bukalapak, fostering innovation and economic growth. His contributions also include serving as Commissioner of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (2020 – 2024) and holding key roles in APINDO and the Indonesian Surfing Association to promote investment and sports development.
