Angus Killian is the Director of Sales & Go-To-Market for private funds at Carta, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. Carta is the ERP for private capital, connecting the entire ecosystem–from GPs and LPs to CEOs, CFOs, employees, and advisors. Its fund administration platform supports over 8,500 funds and SPVs, representing more than $182B in assets under administration, with tools designed to enhance the strategic impact of Fund CFOs.
During his 7 years with Carta based in San Francisco and Sydney, he has focused on incubating and scaling new products and entering new markets. Notably, he led the go-to-market strategy for a pioneering financial reporting product tailored for the Private Equity industry, successfully driving the product from inception to $25 million in ARR within just four years.
Prior to joining Carta, Angus honed his expertise in enterprise sales at LinkedIn, following a career as a corporate lawyer at the global law firm DLA Piper. His diverse background in law, sales, and testing product-market fit position him as a valuable advisor to the private markets ecosystem.
Principal, joined CVC in 2014. Atiff is a Partner of the Operations team and is based in Singapore. Prior to joining CVC, he worked as CEO of Lacoste (China) based in Shanghai. Atiff holds a BSc degree from London University and is a postgraduate from Oxford University.
Jibu Philip, based in Singapore, is a distinguished leader in Merger and Acquisition Strategies, Value Enhancement, and M&A Advisory, advising both Private Equity and Corporate investors. His expertise lies in maximising deal value, insightful management of portfolio companies, and providing decisive advice for high value exits. His wider experience spans buy-side and sell-side advisory, and includes deal strategy, value creation, due-diligence, carve-outs, and integrations.
With an advisory career that began in the US, and then continued in the UK and Europe, Jibu's track record includes pivotal advisory roles in global landmark deals, and value creation experience spanning over 100 M&A transactions across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia. He has diverse experience, having delivered advisory projects in a range of sectors such as financial services, technology, industrial, and retail and consumer sectors.
Jibu Philip's clientele includes global private equity firms, sovereign wealth funds, and corporate investors, with his work consistently driving revenue growth, profitability enhancements, and transformative changes. In Asia Pacific region, he leads Go-To-Market for KPMG ELEVATE, our market leading and proprietary value creation service offering. Jibu is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from London Business School, UK.
Kyle is the Founder and Managing Partner of ShawKwei & Partners, a private equity investment firm established in 1998. ShawKwei & Partners has offices in Singapore, San Francisco and Shanghai managing investments in Asia, Europe, and the USA. Kyle’s private equity experience before ShawKwei & Partners included managing Asian private equity businesses for Security Pacific National Bank (Hong Kong) and then the Tudor Group (Shanghai) as well as in the energy industry with Union Texas Petroleum (Houston), Tidewater (Louisiana & Singapore) and McDermott (Indonesia). Kyle has served as a director of several Asian and European industrial and service companies including as founder and director of Flex Ltd. (formerly known as Flextronics International Ltd).
Kyle received an MBA from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania, a BS in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia, as well as studied Mandarin Chinese at Taiwan’s National Normal University.
Mark Chiba is Group Chairman and Partner of The Longreach Group. The Longreach Group is an established independent private equity firm with offices in Hong Kong and Tokyo. The Firm focuses on Japan related control buyouts in the mature industrial and technology, consumer related and business services sectors. The Firm manages four Funds which have accumulated approximately US$2.7 billion of committed limited partner and co-investment capital.
Mark co-founded The Longreach Group in late 2003. Mark's lead responsibilities at Longreach include firm management, senior relationship driven investment sourcing and execution, and building the firm's global capital base and networks.
Before co-founding Longreach, Mark served as Chief Executive Officer of UBS Securities Japan, Member of the Global Investment Banking Management Committee and Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Investment Banking Management Committee, Head of Japan Investment Banking and as a member of the UBS Global Investment Bank Board. Previous to these roles, Mark headed the UBS Asia-Pacific Financial Institutions Group.
Mark is an Australian citizen, resident in Hong Kong. He holds First Class Honours Bachelors degrees in Economics (University of Melbourne) and Law (University of Sydney). Mark is a Rhodes Scholar with a Masters degree in International Relations (with Distinction) from Oxford University.
