Before joining Cooley, David was a partner at another US-based international law firm and previously practiced at firms in Silicon Valley and New York. David received his JD from Columbia Law School, where he served as the chief articles editor of the Columbia Business Law Review. He received his BS in applied economics and management from Cornell University.
David is a native English speaker and fluent in Mandarin. He is a member of the State Bars of California and New York.
Sunil leads the Primary Investment Team’s practice in Asia and specializes in fund selection, due diligence, negotiations, and monitoring of Asian investments ex-China, specifically in India, Australia, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Korea. He also actively participates in all fund investment decisions and is involved in the sourcing, screening, execution, monitoring, and exiting of growth and buyout co-investments.
Prior to joining Adams Street, Sunil worked for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore performing financial and business analyses of local and regional companies. Previously, he worked in India as an Investment and Strategy Associate in Tacogroup, the automotive technology and engineering investment arm of the Tata Group of India, where he worked on business planning, feasibility studies, and localization plans for new ventures.
Sunil manages relationships with several of Adams Street’s managers and sits on advisory boards of more than a dozen private equity firms within the Adams Street Partners portfolio. He is currently Chairman of the Singapore Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SVCA) and has been a member of the SVCA Board since 2016.
He is a member of Adams Street’s Impact Investment Committee.
SJ Lim (Singapore) joined KKR in 2019 and is the Head and Portfolio Manager of Asia Private Credit. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Lim spent 13 years at Credit Suisse where he was responsible for the private financing business in Southeast Asia, India and Australia, which spanned corporate loans, leveraged finance, structure credit and share financing for corporates and ultra high net worth counterparties. Mr. Lim holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University and a first class honors in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics.
Yinglan Tan founded Insignia Venture Partners in 2017, an early stage technology venture fund focusing on Southeast Asia and has partnered with regional champions like Carro Payfazz, Cohive, Janio and Logivan amongst others. Prior to founding Insignia Venture Partners, Mr. Tan was Sequoia Capital’s first hire and Venture Partner in Southeast Asia. He sourced multiple investment opportunities for Sequoia including Tokopedia, Go-jek, Traveloka, Carousell and Appier (where he represented Sequoia on the board). He had also been a member of the elite Singapore Administrative Service, where he served in a variety of positions in the Prime Minister’s Office (where he was part of a team that managed a S$360 million fund for innovation and enterprise), Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Defence. He was also the founding Director of 3i Venturelab China, a jointventure between private equity firm 3i (LSE:III) and INSEAD.

He is also a Strategic Research Innovation Fund Investment Committee Member at Nanyang Technology University, advisory board member at Duke University CE, author of 3 books - The Way Of the VC (Wiley, 2009), Chinnovation (Wiley 2010) and textbook New Venture Creation - An Asian Perspective (Mcgraw Hill 2011). He was educated at Harvard, Stanford and Carnegie Mellon.
James Posnett is General Manager, Listings at the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in Sydney. He has over 20 years’ experience in capital markets in Australia, Europe, and the US.
Since joining ASX in 2012 he has been responsible for the development of the listings and capital raising business. He oversees both new listings and listed company services. In this role he works with prospective and existing issuers, private and public market investors, asset owners, and financial intermediaries. James was formerly Managing Director, International Listings at New York Stock Exchange and Euronext (NYSE Euronext). He has also worked for BNP Paribas Equities. James holds a BSc (Hons) from Loughborough University and an MBA from the University of Adelaide.
Geetali leads IFC’s equity investments in early to growth stage technology businesses as well as VC Funds across emerging markets in Asia. She also represents IFC on the boards and LP advisory committees of these companies and funds.
Prior to joining IFC, Geetali spent 15 years as an investment professional with leading private equity and venture capital funds including Actis Capital, Leapfrog Investments, DEG (German DFI) and Bamboo Capital Partners. She was primarily focused on early and growth stage investments in consumer, technology, financial services and healthcare sectors. She began her career in investment banking at Citigroup.
Geetali holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore (Dean’s List) and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mumbai (Honors).
Xiang Li is a Principal in CPP Investments’ Credit Investments Department, based in Hong Kong. He focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and managing credit investments across the Asia Pacific region. He is a member of the APAC Credit Investment Committee.
Prior to joining CPP Investments in 2015, Xiang worked at the Investment Banking Department of UBS AG, servicing clients in the industrials sector in Asia.
Xiang holds a Hon. Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto.
Mr Danny Wong is the Head of Investment Group at Seviora Capital where he leads the Pavilion Capital private equity platform. In this role, Danny oversees its investment activities, portfolio construction, and broader platform initiatives. Danny joined Seviora Capital in 2026 through the amalgamation of Pavilion Capital into Seviora Capital. At Pavilion Capital, Danny was its Head of Investment Group.
Danny brings over 30 years of experience spanning both the buyside and sellside across Asia and global markets. He spent more than a decade based in Hong Kong, where he led and built the Asian investment banking franchises at Jefferies and Macquarie.
Prior to joining Pavilion Capital, he was Asia Head of Equity Capital Markets and Head of Industrials Investment Banking at Jefferies. Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at Macquarie, Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse.
Danny holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) from the National University of Singapore.
Mr Abhishek Bakshi is the Senior Vice President of Global Issuer Services at HKEX. He joined the exchange in July 2022 and is responsible for leading corporate client engagement for HKEX across ASEAN region. He brings over sixteen years of Investment Banking experience, with ABN AMRO, Royal Bank of Scotland (Natwest Group), CIMB and Maybank.
Over the past decade, Abhishek has been based in Singapore covering ASEAN Equity Capital Markets and in his last role before joining HKEX, Abhishek was a Director, responsible for leading coverage of the ASEAN (ex-Malaysia) Equity Capital Markets business for Maybank. His diverse experience includes client coverage, equity origination, execution and distribution responsibilities across Asia.
Abhishek has an MBA in Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and spent eight years in Hong Kong before relocating to Singapore.
Neil joined IQ-EQ in November 2017, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in the financial services sector. As the Regional Chief Commercial Officer for APAC, Neil plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the region's commercial and segment strategy. His responsibilities include devising growth plans, go-to-market approaches, and cultivating a unified commercial and sales culture across Asia.
In addition to his strategic role, Neil serves as a key client relationship manager, overseeing a dedicated portfolio of Real Estate and Private Equity clients. In 2020, recognising the burgeoning demand for real estate funds and investment vehicles in the Asia-Pacific region, Neil made the strategic move to Singapore. This further solidified IQ-EQ's support for existing real estate clients and enhanced the company's presence in the region.
Neil has an impressive track record of over 15 years, marked by international experience and a deep understanding of a diverse range of fund clients and asset classes. His commitment to excellence extends beyond IQ-EQ. Neil serves on the executive committee of the Singapore Fund Administration Association, contributes to various committees of the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) and Luxembourg Private Equity Association (LPEA), and serves as a voting member for Asian Association for Investors in Non-Listed Real Estate Vehicles (ANREV).
Anirban Bhattacharya is a Partner at the Firm and specialises in private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures in private as well as public market deals.
Anirban has advised foreign and Indian clients on domestic and cross-border transactions and acquisitions, including mergers, buyouts, open offers, public market transactions, direct sales and secondary equity acquisitions.
Anirban has been recognised among the Top 40 Under 40 lawyers by BW Legal World and was also named among the Top 100 Individual Lawyers in the Forbes India Legal Powerlist, 2022.
Yash is a Managing Partner at Jungle Ventures leading Southeast Asia investments and portfolio support. He joined the firm in 2016.
An active venture investor since 2014, he focuses on Consumer, B2B, and SME-facing investments in Southeast Asia and India, and has led key investments for Jungle in companies like Leap, Waresix, Ofload, Evermos, Hypefast, and Medici.
Yash works closely with founders on growth, business building, and organisational development.
Prior to Jungle, Yash was a venture investor with IFC’s Venture Capital team, the private investment arm of the World Bank, from 2014 to 2016. He also worked in investment banking at O3 Capital specialising in capital raising and M&A for technology companies.
Yash holds an MBA from FMS Delhi and a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS Pilani.
Yinwei joined East Ventures in 2019 and leads investment projects out of the Firm’s Singapore office. Yinwei has over 12 years of experience in venture capital. Yinwei previously served as an Associate at the private equity and venture capital arm of Tiger Global Management, where he worked with start-ups from India, Latin America and South Africa.
Prior to Tiger Global Management, Yinwei was involved in policy planning, technology ecosystem development and venture investing at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, a Singapore government agency.
Yinwei received a Master’s in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University and a Double Degree in Systems Engineering and Finance from the University of Pennsylvania.
Sujey Subramanian is the Head of Asia-Pacific Corporate at ICG, a global alternative asset manager with US$127B in AUM. The Asia-Pacific Corporate investment strategy is ICG’s oldest and largest program in the Asia-Pacific region focused on providing capital solutions to founders and management teams in the region. The strategy has investment teams on the ground in Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul and Sydney. Mr. Subramanian was previously the Deputy Chief Investment Officer and Head of Southeast Asia at PAG Asia Capital, the flagship private equity strategy of PAG. Earlier in his career he was at TPG Capital and Merrill Lynch. He graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stanford University and is a Singaporean citizen and based in Singapore.
Anshuman Malur brings nearly 25 years of international financial expertise to his role as Co-Founder and Managing Partner of RMB Capitalworks. Under his leadership, the firm has pioneered a hybrid solutions model in India, offering bespoke growth capital to mid-sized companies across the Healthcare, Manufacturing, and Technology sectors. Before RMBCW, Anshuman’s career spanned roles at DMI Finance in India, Morgan Stanley in the UK, and the World Bank in Washington DC. He is an alumnus of the School of Planning and Architecture (B.Arch), Princeton University (MPA) and the London Business School (MBA).
Elwin is a Managing Director at La Caisse in the Private Equity team, focusing on leading direct and co-investments in Japan, Korea and South East Asia. Prior to joining La Caisse in 2018, Elwin had spent over 13 years at GIC’s Private Equity team, where he had taken various roles, including being a Vice President in the Europe direct investment team between 2011 and 2015, in the South East Asia direct investment team between 2015 and 2016 as well as in the Asia funds and co-investment team between 2017 and 2018. He holds a BSc (Engineering) in Computer Science and a BSc (Economics) in Finance, both from the University of Pennsylvania, US.
As the Founding Partner of TNB Aura, Vicknesh heads up the group’s sell-side and buy-side initiatives.
Vicknesh started his career in Investment Banking before founding, operating, and exiting his real estate mezz fund. Currently, Vicknesh serves as a board member at several companies where he advises and assists on their internal strategies and expansion plans.
Having graduated with a double degree from Nanyang Technological University and dual MBAs from UCLA Anderson and the National University of Singapore, Vicknesh is passionately involved in the region’s startup ecosystem. He is an appointed judge and mentor for numerous entrepreneurship workshops, conferences, and competitions, contributing to the cultivation of aspiring entrepreneurs and startups.
