Salvatore Lombardo is a Corporate Finance Partner at PwC, within the Performance & Restructuring group. With a career spanning back to 1999, he has gained extensive domestic and international experience in M&A, Transaction Services, and financial restructuring, alongside five years of experience in the Special Situations division at BNL – BNP Paribas Group.He is recognised for his ability to manage complex crisis and restructuring transactions, with broad experience across diverse sectors such as Fashion, Consumer & Retail, Healthcare & Pharma, Industrial Manufacturing, and Real Estate & Construction.

She deals with commercial law, specialising in company law, as well as corporate crises and special situations. 

In these areas, she has gained experience both in non-litigation matters (corporate advisory work, with a particular focus on corporate governance, performing and distressed M&A, debt restructuring, and out-of-court and court-supervised settlement and composition agreements) and in litigation (challenges to shareholders’ and board resolutions, liability claims and avoidance actions).

She has also acquired experience in wealth management, with particular regard to the generational handover of businesses. She graduated with honours from the Università di Urbino in 2008 and has obtained a PhD in Commercial Law from the Università di Brescia. She was admitted to the Bar in 2012 and is based in the Milan office.

She is the author of various legal articles published in Rivista del Diritto Commerciale and Banca, Borsa e Titoli di Credito. She has been a speaker at various legal conferences as well as lecturing for specialist training and postgraduate courses as an expert in corporate planning and asset protection.

Marco Sola is based in the Milan office, where he advises clients on M&A transactions and restructuring, including corporate turnarounds, special situations, and insolvency matters.

He regularly assists in transactions involving the transfer of shareholdings, business units, and real estate assets, with a particular focus on distressed and restructuring contexts. He also has significant experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, and litigation, including corporate disputes (such as claw-back actions and liability actions against directors and statutory auditors), as well as disputes in bankruptcy, banking and factoring matters.

Marco graduated with honors from the University of Genoa in 2010, receiving a recommendation for the publication of his dissertation. Shortly thereafter, he joined Giovanardi Studio Legale, where he has developed his entire professional career. He was admitted to the Milan Bar in 2013.

Alberto Beretta is Deputy General Manager and Chief Lending Officer at Banca CF+, where he oversees lending operations—ranging from origination and monitoring to the management of non-performing loans, recovery, and the formulation of credit policies. Throughout his career, he has held senior positions at some of Italy’s leading banking groups—including Intesa Sanpaolo, Banca Popolare di Vicenza, Banca Popolare di Milano, Banca Commerciale Italiana, Banca Popolare di Bari, and UBI Banca—gaining over forty years of experience in corporate lending, structured finance, and corporate restructuring. He has also served as a director and advisor for industrial and financial companies, supporting numerous turnaround and extraordinary finance transactions.

Professor of Commercial Law at the University of Tuscia (Viterbo), Department of Economics, Engineering, Society and Business.He possesses extensive, recognized experience in advisory services and litigation—both in court and arbitration proceedings—across the fields of commercial law, public procurement law, and environmental law. His work includes, among other things, matters regarding the functioning of corporate bodies, legal support for tender commissions awarding public works contracts, and projects for renewable energy production.In addition to speaking at various conferences on corporate law topics, he serves on the editorial board of the journal "Rivista di diritto societario".
