Cathy has spent her career in the energy and environmental sectors at the nexus between technology, management, and policy. For six years Cathy was CEO of EVgo, the leading publicly traded electric vehicle fast-charging infrastructure company in the US. Prior to EVgo, she co-founded Odyssey Energy Solutions, a software platform serving the minigrid sector, was CEO of Frontier Power, a rural electrification company incubated by SunEdison, and an adjunct professor and Precourt Energy Scholar at Stanford University. Cathy served in the Obama Administration as Assistant Secretary and Acting Under Secretary at the Department of Energy, where she oversaw more than $30 billion in energy investments. Cathy was the founding CEO of both the Alliance for Climate Protection, established and chaired by U.S. Vice President Al Gore; and the Sustainable Energy Development Authority, a $50m fund to commercialize clean energy technologies in New South Wales, Australia.

In addition to her work with EQT and its portfolio companies, Cathy is currently on the boards of Consolidated Edison and SPAN.io and is an advisor to APAX’s Global Impact Fund.In the early 1990s, she was Chief of Staff for Environmental Policy in the Clinton White House and she pioneered the Energy Star program while at the US EPA.Cathy has a B.S. in Geology (Honors/Magna cum laude) from Duke University and a M.S. in engineering from Dartmouth.

Craig Scroggie is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of NEXTDC (ASX:NXT), Australia’s leading Data-Centre-as-a-Service provider. Prior to becoming CEO in June 2012, Mr Scroggie served on the Board of Directors since the IPO (2010) as a Non-Executive Director, including as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Mr Scroggie has more than 30 years’ experience in the ICT industry, having held senior positions with Symantec, Veritas Software, Computer Associates, EMC Corporation and Fujitsu. Prior to joining NEXTDC, Mr Scroggie was Symantec’s Vice President & Managing Director for the Pacific Region.

Mr Scroggie currently serves on the Board of Freelancer (ASX:FLN) and contributes actively to academia as Chairman of the La Trobe University Business School Advisory Board and holds the position of Adjunct Professor. He also serves on the advisory boards of The University of Southern Queensland and The University of South Australia.

Mr Scroggie is a Graduate of the University of Southern Queensland and holds an Advanced Certificate in Information Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, a Master of Business Administration; and is a Graduate and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

In 2013 Mr Scroggie was awarded the University of Southern Queensland Faculty of Business & Law Alumnus of the Year and in 2015 was inducted into the ARN ICT Industry Awards Hall of Fame.

Andrew Jennings joined KKR in 2020 and is a member of the Asia Pacific Infrastructure team. Mr. Jennings is responsible for infrastructure investments in Australia and New Zealand, and serves on the Board of Directors of Spark Infrastructure, Ritchies Transport and Queensland Airports. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Jennings was a sector lead for the energy & utilities team within QIC's global infrastructure business. Mr. Jennings has led transactions across various sectors including renewable energy, regulated utilities and transport. Prior to QIC, Mr. Jennings worked in Deutsche Bank's corporate finance team in both London and Sydney, specialising in infrastructure & utilities. Mr. Jennings holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), with First Class Honours, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.

Chris is a Managing Director at UBS, with extensive experience leading some of the most complex M&A and capital markets transactions in the infrastructure sector globally over the last 20 years.

He is currently Head of Power, Utilities and Infrastructure at UBS Australia & New Zealand. Previously he was based in New York and worked at Evercore where he was a Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Infrastructure, Power and Renewables and has lived and worked in Sydney, London, Toronto and New York.

In his role as Senior Managing Director, Asia-Pacific at OMERS Infrastructure, Christopher leads the APAC team based in Sydney and Singapore, and is responsible for OMERS Infrastructure’s strategy across the APAC region, including all investment and asset management activities. Christopher joined OMERS in 2014 and since that time has played a key role in building the presence in Australia and the APAC region, including investments in the Port of Melbourne, Transgrid, Azure Power, FRV Australia and, most recently, TPG’s mobile tower portfolio.

Prior to joining OMERS Infrastructure, Christopher spent seven years with GIC’s infrastructure team in London, leading transaction-execution teams and holding board director roles for major investments in the regulated utilities, power generation, midstream energy and transportation sectors. Before GIC, Christopher spent eight years with PwC in Australia and the U.K., leading financial advisory mandates on numerous infrastructure projects across Australia, Asia and Europe. He also previously held roles with the Reserve Bank of Australia and National Australia Bank.

Christopher holds a Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance) from Victoria University, a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Daniel Timms is a Partner of Igneo Infrastructure Partners, based in Sydney. Daniel currently sits on the board of directors of investee companies Clarus, Atmos Renewables and CPE Renewable Investments.

Prior to joining the team in 2016, Daniel worked at a major energy utility across asset management, energy trading, development and transactions in Australia and abroad. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (First Class Honours) from the University of Adelaide, a Masters of Applied Finance from Kaplan and is a graduate from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Danny Latham is the Head of Australia and New Zealand and a Partner of Igneo Infrastructure Partners, based in Sydney. He is a member of the EDIF II, GDIF, NADIF and WIIF Investment Committees.  Danny currently sits on the board of directors of investee company coNEXA.

Prior to joining the team in 2007, Danny worked for RREEF Infrastructure. Danny holds a Bachelor of Economics and Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Ed has over 25 years’ experience in infrastructure investment across Australia, Europe and North America.   

Ed leads Foresight’s Australian business which includes oversight of key investments including Kinetic, Flinders Ports and Solstice Energy. 

Prior to joining Foresight, Ed was a Principal and Founder of KPMG Direct Investments, where he advised superannuation and pension fund clients globally on direct investment in infrastructure assets.   

Prior to this Ed was a senior investment professional at Colonial First State Global Asset Management (now Igneo Infrastructure Partners) and Hastings Funds Management.

Evan joined Pacific Equity Partners in 2007. Prior to joining PEP, Evan was a Consultant with Bain & Company in the UK, United States, Singapore and Australia. He received a Bachelor of Commerce & Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Queensland where he was a Valedictorian.

Frewen is a Managing Partner at Roc Partners, where he leads its Multi-Strategy Private Equity business investing across primary funds, secondaries and co-investments.  As of 31 December 2025, Roc Partners manages over A$9.5bn in assets under management across private equity, private credit and real assets. Roc Partners received recognition as a top performer in secondaries, ranking #1 globally in the 2024 HEC-Dow Jones Performance Rankings.

 Hans-Martin Aerts is a Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure & Private Natural Capital, Asia Pacific at APG Asset Management, one of the largest pension fund asset managers in the world. He is a director of various APG Asset Management investee companies. 

 In February 2007, Hans-Martin moved to Hong Kong to establish APG’s first office in Asia Pacific and is responsible for APG’s regional infrastructure and private natural capital strategy and investments. 

 Prior to working for APG, Hans-Martin was a Senior Portfolio Manager at ABP. He joined ABP in 2001 and has since worked in various areas, including listed equities, structured finance, infrastructure, and private natural capital. Hans-Martin is a CFA charter holder and holds an MSc degree in Economics from the Erasmus University Rotterdam, an MBA degree for Executives from Tsinghua University, and an EMBA degree from INSEAD.

Hemant has more than 21 years of experience in Indian financial services across leading organizations like ICICI Bank and Edelweiss Financial Services. In his last role with Edelweiss, he was the CEO of the Asset Management business which went on to become one of India’s largest platforms with more than US$3.5Bn of alternative assets and US$9Bn of mutual fund assets with marquee global and domestic investors as partners.  

In addition to his impressive track record in the financial sector, Hemant brings a visionary approach to asset management, leveraging his deep understanding of both traditional and alternative investments. Hemant's leadership has been instrumental in the launch of several innovative financial solutions in India - the first domestic Infra Fund, the first Passive Debt ETF, and also one of India’s largest Special Situations Credit Fund. 

Under his leadership, Neo Asset Management has established as an India focused private markets fund manager with US$2.2Bn in AUM across infrastructure, private credit and private equity.  

Hemant is a graduate from St. Xavier’s, Calcutta and has done his MBA from IIM Bangalore.

James is a Senior Investment Manager at Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, which provides superannuation services to over 700,000 employees of the Australian Government and members of the Australian Defence Force. James has over 15 years’ experience in investing in and advising on infrastructure assets, and at CSC he looks after CSC’s direct and indirect investments in infrastructure assets.

James is a Director at Principle Advisory Services, a leading Australian investment management advisory and distribution firm.

James covers the Australasian institutional and wholesale investor market and specialises in private markets investments including private equity/venture capital, unlisted infrastructure, real estate, and alternative credit strategies. James has over 17 years’ fundraising and product design experience in the Australasian market.

James was named one of PEI’s 40 under 40: Future Leaders of Private Equity in 2020.

James holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Sydney as well as a Master of Commerce from the same university, majoring in Finance and Commercial Law. James is a CFA Charterholder and is a former Director and Treasurer of the CFA Society of Sydney.

James is the Partner-in-Charge of Corrs’ Sydney office. He has over 20 years’ experience advising sponsors, borrower and lenders in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region, focusing on financing transactions across the infrastructure, renewables, energy and resources sectors.

James advises on a wide range of project, fund, corporate and acquisition financings, including syndicated, ECA and multi-source debt financings, capital call, NAV and GP facilities.

Jan Brand joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2015 and is a member of its Infrastructure & Natural Resources team. He helps manage Ontario Teachers' investments across the Asia-Pacific region, including Connexa Limited in New Zealand, Spark Infrastructure in Australia, and Princeton Digital Group in Singapore. He has worked on the group’s acquisitions of Connexa in 2022, Spark Infrastructure in 2021, Enwave Energy Corporation in 2021, the National Investment & Infrastructure Fund in 2019, and Atlantic Aqua Farms in 2017. Jan sits on the boards of directors of Spark Infrastructure, Connexa Limited, and Princeton Digital Group.

Jan holds a Masters in Financial Economics from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management as well as a Joint Honours Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Finance from McGill University.

Jessica is a senior reporter for Infralogic, based in Hong Kong. She covers M&A, project financings, and infrastructure funds news in Asia. Prior to that, she reported on M&A and equity capital markets for Mergermarket. She has been a journalist for ION Analytics since 2019.

Jordan is the Head of Private Markets and Infrastructure at Cbus. In this role he is responsible for establishing and delivering the Infrastructure asset class strategy and overseeing the Property and Private Equity strategies. Jordan is a member of the Investment Leadership Team and reports directly into the CIO and Investment Committee.

Jordan has been at Cbus since January 2024 and has over 20 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Cbus, Jordan spent 11 years at Hostplus as the Head of Infrastructure and 8 years at Macquarie Bank in a variety of roles and offices, including Sydney, Houston, and New York predominantly in the Risk Management Division. 

Jordan has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Monash with Honours in Finance.

Marcia is an accomplished senior financial services executive with extensive experience across asset management, mergers & acquisitions, debt & capital management, public private partnerships and impact investment having worked in private and public sector in Australia and overseas. Prior joining REST, Marcia worked in the Real Assets team in AustralianSuper where she oversaw their global asset management program in addition to representing the fund as nominee director in two of their direct investments. Before AustralianSuper, she worked for NSW Treasury in their transactions team overseeing the State’s asset recycling program and various global financial institutions including Deutsche Bank, Citi, Barclays Capital and GE Capital.

Marcia holds a Master in Business Administration from MGSM, a Master in Portfolio Management from ESEADE and a degree in Business from Universidad Nacional de Lujan. Marcia is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Michael is Executive General Manager of Data Centre Investments at Macquarie Technology Group, where he leads strategic growth, capital investment, and partnership initiatives across the Group’s data centre portfolio. 

A seasoned legal and investment executive, he previously served as the Group’s General Counsel & Company Secretary, overseeing legal, governance, and regulatory matters. 

Michael has built deep expertise in construction and development, risk management, major infrastructure delivery, and M&A. Leveraging this breadth of digital infrastructure experience, he is driving a disciplined approach to Macquarie Data Centres’ pipeline of new campuses and investments.

Ross co-founded QIC Global Infrastructure (‘GI’) in early 2006. Ross provides overall leadership to the team which currently manages 23 direct investments across six countries, out of five offices located in Australia, UK and US. He has had oversight as a member of the QIC Global Infrastructure Investment Committee of all of the team’s investments. In addition to his infrastructure responsibilities, Ross is also a member of QIC’s Executive Management Committee.

Ross has over 30 years of experience in the field of corporate finance and funds management with specialist skills in infrastructure, asset management, capital raisings and M&A.

Prior to QIC, Ross was with AMP Capital from 2000 to 2005. He co-led the AMP team responsible for the creation of the Diversified Utility and Energy Trusts (DUET). After which he was seconded into the management joint venture between AMP Capital and Macquarie Bank established prior to DUET’s listing on the ASX in August 2004. He was DUET’s Chief Operating Officer until his departure to QIC. Prior to joining AMP Capital, Ross worked for ABN AMRO and BZW in their Australian Infrastructure Corporate Advisory and London M&A teams and with Ernst & Young in their Sydney Corporate Tax division.

Ross is currently a director at Generate Capital. Ross holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Law from the University of Queensland.

Sam Reynolds established Octopus Australia in 2018. Octopus Australia operates under three main pillars which we believe are key to the energy transition, (i) Energy Infrastructure, (ii) Fund management; and (iii) Asset & Community Management. As CEO, Sam’s role is to lead Octopus’ culture and drive its mission to harness capital and expertise to accelerate the energy transition. Today Octopus Australia has a team 60 people, and offices in Melbourne and Sydney and has created multi-$billion fund management and energy development business.

Sam Franklin joined EQT Partners in July 2019.

Prior to joining EQT Partners, Sam was an Associate at Affinity Equity Partners in Sydney, focusing on private equity investments in the Financial Services, TMT, Data & Digital and Consumer Sectors.

Prior to Affinity, Sam worked at Macquarie Capital in Sydney and Deutsche Bank in New Zealand. Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Auckland, New Zealand.

Shaun is managing editor, APAC, for Infralogic. Prior to that he was deputy editor, news editor and senior reporter at Infralogic where he has covered Australia, NZ and Asia for eight years. Sumit Mukhija is a seasoned international leader in digital infrastructure with over three decades of experience scaling and transforming businesses across information technology, managed services, cloud, and data center infrastructure.

He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of DCI Data Centers, a fast-growing datacentre platform focused on APAC, headquartered in Sydney, with operations across Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea.

Prior to DCI, Sumit was CEO of STT Global Data Centres in South Asia for over a decade, where he led significant regional expansion and platform growth. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Microsoft, Cisco Systems, and the Tata Group across Select Asian markets.

Sumit holds a Bachelor of Engineering, a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Management, and a Non-Executive Director (NED) Diploma from the Financial Times.

Tats Kato is Executive Head of M&A & Project Origination | Managing Director Department at Sojitz Australia, which is one of Japan’s seven largest strategic investment and trading companies listed on Tokyo Stock Exchange. With a history of over 160 years, Sojitz has a presence in more than 50 countries through a worldwide network of over 530 subsidiaries and affiliates, employing approximately 26,000 people. 

Based in Sydney, Tats leads M&As and greenfield business developments across sectors inlcuding essential infrastructure, transport, energy, natural resources / critical minerals, industirals, food / agriculture throughout Australia.   

He is also an AJBCC-JABCC Future Leader, actively promoting business cooperation and sustainable growth between Australia and Japan. 

Tats has a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University.

Tim Foy is Head of Infrastructure investment banking for Australia / New Zealand at J.P. Morgan, where he advises financial sponsors, superannuation funds, government clients and multinational corporates across the utilities, transport, digital and social infrastructure sectors. He leads a team focused on M&A, equity and debt capital markets, with deep experience underwriting long-duration assets across regulated utilities, toll roads, airports, renewable energy and digital infrastructure.

Tim has spent his career analysing and structuring capital-intensive infrastructure businesses through multiple market cycles. His work spans complex cross-border transactions, large-scale capital raisings and strategic advisory on assets that sit at the intersection of energy transition, digitisation and economic growth.

Tim Burroughs is managing editor of Asian Venture Capital Journal, having joined the publication in May 2011. He is responsible for all editorial content put out under the AVCJ brand, including Asian Venture Capital Journal, AVCJtv, AVCJ Awards and AVCJ.com. Tim previously spent five years at China Economic Review, serving as editor-in-chief and then editorial director. Located in Greater China since 2003, during which time he has lived in Beijing, Qingdao and Hong Kong, Tim has been a China-based contributor for publications including The Sunday Times, Sunday Telegraph, BBC and China Daily. Prior to moving to China, he trained and worked as a journalist in the UK. Tom is the Head of Infrastructure for Macquarie Capital for the Asia Pacific.   

Tom has 25 years of experience working in the infrastructure sector initially providing valuations and professional services to clients, before moving into a principal investment role and over the past 20 years as an investment banker. 

Tom has worked in Australia and various offshore markets and across all infrastructure sub-sectors including transport, regulated utilities, gas infrastructure, gentailers, renewables, digital and core plus. He has significant experience providing strategic and M&A advice, running trade sale processes, privatisations, capital structure reviews, arranging debt and equity for a variety of transactions and principal investments.

Vicki is a Partner and  one of the founders at Palisade Investment Partners.  She has over 25 years’ experience in the infrastructure sector.  Over that period she has worked across a broad range of sectors, investing in or advising on energy, (renewables, gas, LNG,  power and pipelines), transport (road, rail and aviation), PPPs and social and affordable housing.  In addition to investment responsibilities, Vicki has also been responsible for capital, governance, risk, operations and legal across the Palisade business.  Prior to joining Palisade Vicki held roles with Perpetual Investments, Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) and at Linklaters in London and Hong Kong.

Vicki holds a Bachelor of Arts (Law) and Master of Arts (Law) from St Catharine’s College, Cambridge University, is admitted as a Solicitor in both NSW and England & Wales and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Wandy is the Head of Secondaries at Macquarie Asset Management (“MAM”). MAM’s dedicated secondaries investment vehicles provide capital and liquidity to limited partners and general partners in the private funds market.

Wandy has over 25 years’ experience encompassing secondaries, infrastructure, private equity, venture capital and entrepreneurship. She joined MAM in 2020.

Prior to joining MAM Wandy was a Managing Director at Glenfarne Group, an infrastructure investment company, where she was a member of the Investment Committee and the Senior Steering Committee. Wandy was a founding member of the Strategic Partners Funds at DLJ and Credit Suisse (subsequently BlackStone). She also invested in funds and co-investments at Pomona Capital and was the Founder and CEO of MeeGenius, a digital media platform acquired by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Wandy holds an MBA from Columbia Business School with a concentration in Finance (Beta Gamma Sigma honors) and a BA in Business Economics (Cum Laude) from UCLA.

William is responsible for leading the firm's global investment, asset management and sustainability activities.

He is also the digital infrastructure global head. He is a member of Morrison’s Investment Committee, Valuation Committee, Asset Management Committee, Partnership & Promotions Committee and Management Team.

William has served on the board of many Morrison digital infrastructure investments and is currently a Director of CDC Data Centres and Kao Data. Prior to joining Morrison in 2013, he worked at Carlyle as a Principal, based in London.

Wilson Chung is a Managing Director at DigitalBridge Investment Management. Mr. Chung is based in Singapore and focuses on identifying and evaluating Asia Pacific investment opportunities. He has over 15 years of infrastructure, private equity, and corporate finance experience in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Mr. Chung was a Senior Vice President in the infrastructure principal investments team at Macquarie Capital.  He led Macquarie’s balance sheet investments in digital infrastructure in Asia, with a focus on building platforms and developing greenfield datacenters and other digital infrastructure assets. Prior to that role, Mr. Chung worked in Macquarie Capital’s private capital markets team where he focused on principal investments and advisory mandates across the consumer and technology sectors in Asia. 

Mr. Chung holds a Bachelor of Laws (honours), and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
