Alastair is Senior Managing Director, Europe for OMERS Infrastructure, and is based in London where he oversees the organization’s investment activity and team in the region.
Since joining OMERS in 2014, Alastair has played a critical role in the growth of the European team. Prior to assuming responsibility for the overall program, he led or managed OMERS’s investments in Ellevio, Net4Gas, Associated British Ports, High Speed 1, Caruna, SGN and MapleCo.
Before joining OMERS, Alastair worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch advising clients on European utilities and infrastructure transactions. He holds an MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford.
Aldo Cardoso is a Managing Director at DTCP focusing on the data centre, fibre and tower infrastructure sector.
Prior to joining DTCP, Aldo served as director in the Telecommunications Investment Banking team at Citi in London for more than 13 years, where he focused on Digital Infrastructure. During his time at Citi, Aldo supported numerous Telco companies across Europe, Middle East and Africa on the monetization of their digital assets and advised institutional investors on mergers, acquisitions and divestments of digital infrastructure businesses. He brings a profound knowledge of the TMT sector in crucial target markets to DTCP.
Aldo is a CFA charterholder, has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Masters in Finance from London Business School. Aldo graduated with honours from the Catholic University of Peru where he studied industrial engineering.
Alex joined Inframation as a greenfield analyst in May 2018, becoming head of data analysis in March 2022. He previously worked for risk consultancy AKE International and as an analyst and editor for political risk publication Global Risk Insights, specialising in Southeast Asian political affairs. He completed his PhD in geography and politics at Newcastle University in 2016.
Bart runs Santander's Energy financing activity across Europe, Middle East and parts of Latin-America. The team of over 50 professionals is primarily focused on financing and financing advisory of Renewables where Santander had a leading presence (#1 in 2023 Europe) but also Hydrogen, CCS, BESS, Biogas, EfW, Smart Meters and other tangential subsectors. Previously Bart ran Santander's UK and Nordics structured finance business, and before that Santander's European structured finance advisory practise. Bart previously worked at UBS leading their Utilities and Infrastructure Finance business, and RBS. Bart holds an MA in Physics from the University of Oxford.
Bilal leads on the growth equity and infrastructure investments mandate in power-to-x and industrial decarbonisation at Octopus Energy's fund management arm. Prior to Octopus, Bilal was part of the CCUS and hydrogen investments team at BP and has a background in the development and execution of upstream oil & gas projects.
Catherine Pihan-le Bars is the Deputy CEO in charge of operations at LE TRAIN, a pioneering company creating a new open access operator and revolutionizing interregional high-speed rail services in France. Catherine oversees operations, strategic development, and financing, ensuring the successful execution of this ambitious project, along with key strategic partnerships.
Before joining LE TRAIN, Catherine led major transformation projects in the urban planning and health sectors, including large-scale digital initiatives. Her experience in these areas has prepared her to manage the complex challenges involved in delivering innovative infrastructure solutions.
Catherine is particularly focused on how LE TRAIN can contribute to the evolution of mobility in France, with a strong emphasis on operational agility, sustainability, and customer experience.
Christian is a co-founder of Apex Rail - a leading rail finance advisory boutique - has more than 25 years of experience in rail and infrastructure financing. Prior to establishing his own company in 2017, Christian held various senior positions in the advisory, banking, leasing and manufacturing industries.
In his banking time (Deutsche Bank and HSH Nordbank) he led large debt financings of commuter rolling stock, high-speed trains and freight cars in Europe and the US and was also an advisory board member of the rolling stock lessor Railpool, a company which he helped to establish and fund. His career in rail began in the manufacturing industry, then gained further experience in rolling stock leasing at GATX Rail Europe while initially being a project finance manager in the energy and transport infrastructure sectors for ABB.
Christian holds an MBA equivalent degree from the University of St. Gallen. He is fluent in German (mother tongue), English and Norwegian and with good working knowledge of Italian and French.
Colin Laing is a Process and Development Engineer with 17+ years of experience in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical and Energy Network sectors in the UK. Recently, he’s been involved in technical reviews for European Governments on projects like the East Coast Cluster (ECC) and Hynet at Ofgem, and the Aramis CCS system with Xodus.
From 2019 to 2024, Colin worked at Ofgem, where he helped develop the Regulated Asset Base Model and Network Code for CCS, Nuclear investments at Sizewell C in the UK. His was also the lead engineer for the Gas transmission regulated sector including the potential Hydrogen transition of the network during his spell with Ofgem.
At Xodus, Colin is the Advisory team lead for CCS and works with a range of stakeholders in the CCS industry covering the technical and commercial aspects of the burgeoning sector.
Cyril brings over 26 years’ experience in energy and infrastructure investment, with a strong track record in developments, acquisitions, portfolio management and capital raising. His international experience spans roles in Asia-Pacific, Europe and the Middle East, where he successfully managed large portfolios and led high-profile infrastructure projects. His extensive board experience includes working in the renewables, utilities, transport, social infrastructure and natural resources sectors. His previous roles include as Managing Director at global investment group CDPQ, Senior Vice President at Marubeni Asian Power and Director at RREEF Infrastructure (DWS). Cyril holds a Master’s Degree in Business and Strategy from ESCP Business School, Paris and is an accredited company director from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Eduard is Head of Investments and Origination, and Head of Transition for Vitol covering the transitional fuels, sustainability and new energies portfolio for Vitol, and is representing Vitol on the boards of VTTI, VPI, Vortex, Vigo, VEV, WPU and SunMobility. Prior to joining Vitol in May 2023, Eduard was Head of EMEA and Asia of BlackRock’s Global Infrastructure Funds Group where served on the Investment Committee as well as boards of Aramco Gas Pipelines, ADNOC Oil Pipelines, Gaslog LNG, Kellas Midstream, Renovalia, PetroFirst and Covanta Dublin. He was also an MD at Energy PE investor First Reserve and Investment Director & Partner at NIBC Infrastructure Partners. He started his career as a management consultant at AT Kearney and Boston Consulting Group.
Glenn leads the risk transfer area of Howden’s Climate Risk and Resilience team, which focuses on insurance solutions for de-risking the energy transition, enabling trading in the carbon markets and helping clients manage the physical risks of climate change. Glenn has over 10 years’ experience in the insurance market having built and lead environmental liability teams in both underwriting and broking. Prior to his insurance career he worked as an environmental engineer in natural resources and construction sectors, primarily in the Australian mining industry. Glenn holds an honours degree in Environmental Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration.
Gordon is Head of Corporate & Sustainable Securitisation EMEA at Barclays in London, with 12 years of banking experience in corporate and structured debt and derivatives. Gordon is currently responsible for origination, structuring and execution of corporate and sustainable securitisation financing for asset classes including Leasing, Corporate Receivables, Rental Car, SME & Fintech financing, Renewable
Energy and Digital Infrastructure ABS, and is a member of the Sustainable Finance Leadership Group for Barclays Investment Bank. He was previously based in New York, where he focused on securitization and warehouse financing origination and execution across RMBS and a number of Esoteric ABS asset classes, including acting as structuring lead on over $5bn of public securitisations and 10+ financing transactions. Gordon started his career in the Risk Solutions Group at Barclays in London, covering UK corporate clients for interest rate and inflation derivative solutions.
Gordon holds a Masters in Finance and Economics from Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, where he completed an undergraduate degree in economics. Outside of the office Gordon’s interests include music, running and volunteering.
Joe Rippon has been with the Sizewell C project for over five years where he is Head of Financial Structuring and works on a number of key aspects of the funding and financing arrangements. This includes leading the development of a novel approach to meeting the new nuclear financing challenge – the Regulated Asset Base model. This funding model and investor proposition it entails will allow Sizewell C to bring new types of investors into a nuclear construction project for the first time and support the project’s ability to raise the equity and debt capital it requires to fund construction. Joe is heavily involved in other aspects of the financing arrangements including engagement with credit rating agencies, potential investors and export credit arrangements. Here he brings together the revenue arrangements, financial structure and strengths of the project to promote the project with the financial community.
As editor for the Infralogic Americas team, Jonathan Carmody is responsible for delivering proprietary information on project finance, fundraising and M&A situations across the North, Latin America and the Caribbean regions.
Jonathan joined Infralogic in February 2014 and is responsible for driving the American content to ensure that our coverage in the region stays focused and up to date.
Accomplished finance executive with over 20 years of experience specialising in M&A, Project Finance, and Asset Management within the European infrastructure sector. As Head of the European franchise at John Laing, Luke leads a high-performing team focused on the origination, execution, and management of core infrastructure assets. A member of the Senior Management Group and Investment Committee driving strategic growth and long-term value through leadership in complex transactions across Europe.
With deep relationships across financial infrastructure investors and select corporates, Luke has spearheaded over €400bn in infrastructure advisory mandates and exits encompassing M&A advisory, strategic advisory, financing, and equity capital markets since 2005. Notable transactions include the take private of Abertis, the financing of Hinkley Point C, the sale of London City Airport, IPO of Calisen, KKR’s sale of stakes in Viridor Energy and the take private and securitisation of BAA (Heathrow).
Luke started his career at Macquarie and before joining John Laing in 2023 where he was Head of Infrastructure EMEA at Credit Suisse and prior to that role was Director in Energy and Infrastructure Team at BNP Paribas.
Luke is the sector lead for Telecoms Structured Finance in EMEA and is based in London. He joined SMBC Group in 2014 having previously been in the Infrastructure Corporate Finance group at KPMG. He is responsible for the bank's involvement in Data Centre financings in EMEA totaling more than €1.3bn in 2024 so far and €3bn in 2023.
Hanson has led both lending and advisory mandates across Digital Infrastructure, Transport and Social Infrastructure. He holds a Master of Engineering degree from Oxford University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales.
Maciej is based in the London office, overseeing the investment activities of the Core Infrastructure strategy and is an Investment Committee member. He is also directly involved in the asset management of the Finnish and Polish energy investments across various funds and sits on the respective Board of Directors.
Maciej has over 16 years of infrastructure M&A and investing experience, across Macquarie Capital, MAp Airports, OTPP and Amber Infrastructure.
He holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Cambridge and is a CFA Charter holder.
Marc has been working in the renewable energy sector for almost 30 years and has been a part of the project finance team for 25 years. Before working for Rabobank he was financial advisor to the executive board of NUON (currently Vattenfall). Marc started his career within Rabobank team as an Associate Director and is currently Managing Director and heading the European Renewable Energy & Infrastructure Project finance team. During his career Marc has been closely involved in and structured many renewable energy transactions. Rabobank is a front runner in financing new technologies and funding structures, over the years Marc has played an important role in these developments. In 2006 Rabobank financed the first offshore wind farm. Currently we are a front runner in financing battery projects and we are moving the boundaries where it comes to financing projects with power purchase agreements or even fully merchant financings. Next to our existing business in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, UK, Ireland, the Nordics, France, Italy and Spain, we have further expanded the business to new countries such as Poland and Portugal. Furthermore, we have broadened the technologies we bank from on- and offshore wind, solar, battery storage to inter alia data centers, EV battery factories, green steel production and other e-mobility transactions. This year we have closed 45 transactions in Europe and as a result of this, Rabobank Project Finance was ranked 3rd commercial bank in the worldwide project financing BNEF league table in Q2 2024. Marc’s entrepreneurial character is further showcased by the recent sale of a ground service equipment company in the aviation industry to a large investment fund with the aim to become a European market leader. Marc, his brother as CEO and sister set up this company 25years ago.
Mark founded Rock Group in 2011 after a successful law career at Clifford Chance and DLA Piper, gaining experience working in the City of London, New York and Europe. Mark specialises in developing innovative funding, financing and procurement strategies for major sustainable infrastructure projects, working to ensure alignment of public and private sector interests to create long-term, responsibly financed projects, which create substantially improved public sector value for money.
Since founding Rock Group’s specialist companies, Rock Rail and Rock Road, Mark has led the business in securing over £3 billion of institutional investment into modern rolling stock fleets for service across 7 rail franchises and 2 fleets of zero-emission buses in the UK, and most recently, Rock Rail’s expansion into Europe has secured €1 billion for 4 further fleets in Germany. He is a director of each of the companies established to finance and lease the fleets to the franchises. Mark has developed a model that is scalable to other nations and is integral to the sustainable interests of the future.
Prior to rail and bus, Mark was Commercial Director on the landmark Mersey Gateway Bridge Project and principal advisor on the transformation of CAE’s helicopter training facility PPP. As a lawyer, Mark created and led DLA Piper’s Commercial and Projects Group and in 2007 became Global Head of DLA’s Infrastructure and Defence Sector.
Michael is Global Head of Infrastructure Coverage leading the efforts of our regional coverage teams in London, Paris, Madrid, New York and Hong Kong with infrastructure investors.
Michael started his career at Scotiabank in Toronto in the bank’s Structured Credit business working with leading alternative credit managers. Moving to London in 2007, he was a founding member of the European Infrastructure Finance & Advisory team, active in developing this platform into the bank’s cross-product hub for infrastructure investors.
At Scotiabank, he acted as both financial advisor and debt arranger to leading infra investors and corporates in the EMEA region. He led the bank’s coverage of UK Regulated Assets and was responsible for originating transactions with infrastructure investors focused on transport, midstream gas and renewable energy.
In 2014, Michael joined Mediobanca based in London where he served as Co-Head of the Infrastructure & Transportation M&A group with teams in London, Milan, Madrid and Paris advising on many of the largest infra transactions in southern Europe including the take private of Atlantia by Blackstone and the acquisition of Italo by GIP. He also led the development of Mediobanca’s financing franchise with infra investors, notably outside of the bank’s historical markets.
Building on this success, he was later appointed as Head of Infrastructure & SWF Coverage, responsible for driving all infra sponsor-led transactions across products with a particular focus on M&A.
Neale Marvin is a Managing Director of the Infrastructure team at DC Advisory, where he leads a team of over 20 investment bankers covering both M&A (sell-side and buy-side) and debt advisory. Marvin has over 15 years’ experience in the sector, working on deals across utilities, toll roads, airports to ports and rail – as well as more core plus sectors such as smart meters, ferries, motorway services, towers and waste.
Marvin joined DC Advisory from JP Morgan, where he was head of the Infrastructure Finance platform. Previous to that, Marvin was a senior member of the Infrastructure Finance team at Dresdner Kleinwort.
Pascale Labrecque is a Principal at DigitalBridge Investment Management. Ms. Labrecque is based in London and is responsible for originating, executing, and managing new and existing investments in Europe. With over eight years of experience working in infrastructure investing, she has led and co-led acquisitions, financings, and divestment processes in markets across Europe and the Americas.
Prior to joining DigitalBridge, Ms. Labrecque was a Director at InfraRed Capital Partners, where she initiated and led the digital infrastructure investing for the firm’s core strategy. Previously, she worked at PSP Investments, where she covered various sub-sectors, including digital infrastructure, utilities, and sat on the boards of TDF, Angel Trains, and Polat Enerji. Earlier in her career she worked for GE Capital as a financial analyst.
Ms. Labrecque graduated as valedictorian and received a Bachelor of Finance from HEC Montréal.
Raphaël Laidez has held the position of Senior Director, Infrastructure Financing, since August 2022. Based in London, he is responsible for the orientation, structure and management of the Infrastructure Financing portfolio across Europe.
Mr. Laidez has over 10 years of experience in finance, particularly in marketing plans, structuring and executing innovative financing solutions in the infrastructure and real estate sectors. Before joining CDPQ, he was a responsible for the structured financing activities of Mubadala, an investment company owned by the Abu Dhabi government, where he oversaw structuring and financing in the real assets sector in Europe and around the world. Prior to that, he spent four years as a finance consultant for infrastructure projects, public-private partnerships and in the energy sector. He began his career in infrastructure finance at Citigroup in London.
Mr. Laidez holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from University of London and a Master’s Degree in Political Science and Economic Development from Sciences Po Paris.

Sikander Rashid is the Head of Europe for Brookfield’s Infrastructure Group. In this role, Mr. Rashid is responsible for overseeing all infrastructure investment and portfolio management activity in the region. Mr. Rashid is also the Head of Europe for Brookfield Asset Management, with responsibility for overseeing the Asset Manager’s business activities in the region.
Mr. Rashid joined Brookfield in 2012 and has held progressively senior roles within the organization. Mr. Rashid holds a Bachelor of Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants.
Stefan is a Director at Baringa Partners and brings 15 years’ experience advising clients across the energy value chain on strategic topics. Most recently, Stefan has been leading work with clients on how they can position their businesses to create value in the energy transition. He has advised Data Centre investors, developers and users on their energy strategies, including large scale renewable power procurement and local energy solutions.
Steve has been involved in financing global infrastructure projects for over 25 years both in the private and public sector.
Steve joined HM Treasury in 2010 and helped establish the Infrastructure Finance Unit before becoming involved in the set-up of the Green Investment Bank. In 2012 the team established the £40 billion UK Guarantees Scheme (UKGS) which issued over £4billion of guarantees.
During the last 3 years Steve has played a leading role in the set-up and launch of the UK Infrastructure Bank being one of the first to join, Co-Heading the Banking Team during the first year of operations.
Private Debt Distribution Alternatives specialist, heading the EMEA PF & Rail distribution team with extensive experience in Rail, Digital Infrastructure, core infrastructure, renewables and industrial project finance. Have been actively involved in underwriting, PP and advisory financings in the Rail sector since 2009 when CACIB started building up the Rail finance team.
