Taku has over 20 years of experience working at financial institutions both in Japan and overseas. Through his corporate finance work, he has provided services related to financing, payments, and hedging to numerous Japanese listed companies, both domestically and internationally. At Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, he worked in the Corporate Banking Division at the Bangkok Branch, and at HSBC, he led a team as Head of Business Development in the Commercial Banking Division, contributing to the growth of clients’ overseas businesses.
He has also provided a wide range of support to Japanese listed companies regarding sustainable finance, including green bonds.
With experience working at Sustainalytics Japan, he assessed compliance with specific frameworks based on investors’ understanding of and policies regarding sustainable finance principles, and contributed to the dissemination of the company’s ESG risk rating data and methodologies.
