Now in its 9th year, Mergermarket is pleased to be celebrating the best in Australian M&A at the Mergermarket M&A Awards. We will be announcing the winners at a black-tie awards gala dinner on 4 March 2027 at The Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.

On the night, over 16 prizes will be awarded for creative advisory work on complex transactions. Our rigorous judging process is unique. First, we analyse our market-leading league tables and announce a shortlist. These shortlisted candidates are then invited to provide their submissions for the awards. Finally, our expert panel of judges review these submissions and choose the winners. As there is only one winner per category, an M&A Award from Mergermarket is true recognition of the best in the M&A field.

How it works

Data analysis and shortlist

Mergermarket league tables are reviewed in July, with the shortlist announced in August.

Pitch submission

Shortlisted firms submit a 300-word pitch by 16 October 2026, highlighting standout deals and demonstrating examples of excellence.

Judging process

A panel of leading M&A professionals and Mergermarket journalists evaluate the submissions to select the winners.

Winners announced

The awards ceremony takes place on 4 March 2027 at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney.
