Mr. Matteo Cirla serves as Managing Partner and CEO at IGI Private Equity since 2010. Before, he has been founding Partner at Synergo SGR from 2004.
Before starting his career in private equity he spent 10 year in the Investment Banking with ABN AMRO and Abaxbank.
Mr. Cirla has been Chairman or Director in several portfolio companies. Today serves as Chairman or Director at CIPA, IGI Sgr, Blumen, Rollon, Fimotec and Bracchi.
He holds a MS with honors in Economics from Pavia University and a MBA from SDA Bocconi.
Matthew has c. 20 years of experience in Value Creation as both an advisor and an operator; before joining PwC Strategy&, Matthew was a Partner at BCG. Matthew is a graduate of the University of London and INSEAD and speaks Italian, English, French, Spanish and has a basic understanding of Mandarin Chinese.
His main area of expertise is operational Value Creation for Portfolio Companies during all phases of the investment cycle. He has worked directly as an advisor, interim transformation officer and Operating Partner for both corporates and family offices in the UK, EU and China. His main industry focus are Industrial Goods and Consumer.
In the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic Matthew was nominated as one of 5 technical specialists in support of The Committee of Experts for the Relaunch of the Italian Economy, established by the Italian Prime Minister and led by Vittorio Colao.
Massimiliano Manniello joined EQT Partners in January 2019 in the London office and relocated to Milan in 2020.
Massimiliano is part of the Italian Team as well as of the Global Healthcare Team.
Prior to joining EQT Partners, Massimiliano was at BC Partners where he focused on pan-European investment opportunities. Prior to his experience in Private Equity Massimiliano also spent 2 years at McKinsey & Company.
Massimiliano holds an MBA with distinction from London Business School as well as a M.Sc. in International Management with distinction from Bocconi University and Fudan University.
