Giovanni has more than 25 years M&A experience primarily performed for large international corporates and private equity houses. He is graduated in Business Administration from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan and he isfluent in Italian (mother tongue), English and French.
His main areas of expertise include financial and vendor due diligence, pre-dealanalyses and post-deal integration, carve-outs, value creation analyses. His mainindustry focus is on Healthcare & Pharma, Business Services, Industrial Products and Retail and Consumer

From 2007 to 2010, Chairman of AIAF, the Italian Association of Financial Analysts. From 2015 to 2018, Chairman of the International Conference of Commercial Bank Economists (ICCBE).

Valentina Franceschini is a Senior Partner at Wise Equity in Milan. She joined the management company in 2000 and during the past 20 years has managed several investments in Italian SMEs in different industries.
Valentina currently serves on the board of Aleph (digital printing), Corob (tinting systems), Imprima (textile printing and finishing), Tapì (T-cap closures for food and beverage), Vittoria (bicycle tires), Waycap (fashion accessories).
Prior to joining Wise Equity, Valentina was an Equity Research Analyst at Credit Suisse focusing on the Media sector.
Valentina obtained a degree in Business Administration at Luigi Bocconi University.
Matteo Zenari is Head of Financial Sponsor Group within the Intesa Sanpaolo IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division. In his leading role he is in charge globally of the coverage activity of the Investment Banking products and services, such as Structure Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Debt & Equity Capital Market and Fund Financing, with Italian and International Private Equity firms. He joined Intesa Sanpaolo Group in the Financial Sponsor Group in 2017, after having headed the Mergers & Acquisitions and Co-Headed the Corporate Finance desks at Société Générale CIB in Italy. Matteo graduated at Luigi Bocconi University with an economic and finance degree.
Gianni Martoglia si occupa principalmente di mercati finanziari e di operazioni di fusione ed acquisizione, ed è specializzato nelle operazioni di private equity. In questi anni ha seguito alcune tra le più importanti e complesse operazioni di M&A dello Studio, seguendo svariati clienti industriali e finanziari italiani ed internazionali.
Si è laureato con lode all’Università degli Studi di Torino nel 1992 e dal 1996 è iscritto all’Albo degli Avvocati; Gianni Martoglia è inoltre autore di diversi articoli in materia di diritto societario e di mercati mobiliari pubblicati su alcune delle principali riviste italiane ed è co-autore del libro “Tecniche di Private Equity”.
Luca Bucelli joined Tikehau Capital in 2014 where he is currently Head of Italy. He opened the firm Milan office and started up the activities in the country performing 13 Private Debt transactions (Direct Lending and Leveraged Loans), 2 PE Real Estate investments, and fundraising from more than 50 institutional clients.
Prior to joining Tikehau, he worked for AlixPartners turnaround and restructuring practice in Paris and Milan, for Citigroup Alternative Investment fund of hedge funds in New York, and for Lehman Brothers Corporate Finance M&A in London and Milan.
Luca Bucelli holds an MBA with distinction from the New York University Stern School of Business and graduated in Business Management from the University of Florence.
Luca Peyrano is member of the Corporate Development team at ION Group and Chief Operating Officer of ION Analytics, a leading global player in data and financial intelligence for capital markets with a portfolio of established brands, including Mergermarket, Debtwire and Dealogic. With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Luca started with Borsa Italiana in 1999 with responsibility for companies’ admission to listing and then moved on to manage the SMEs markets offering until year 2007. Following the merger with the London Stock Exchange he was appointed Head of Continental Europe for Primary Markets, until when in 2016 he took on the position as CEO of ELITE, the London Stock Exchange’s private market. Prior to the that, he worked in the consumer goods sector and in the automotive industry. He holds a degree in Business Administration from Bocconi University and received an MBA from IMD in Switzerland.
Marianna combines a deep knowledge of corporate intelligence and business investigations with an unconditional love for technology. She has a long history working with tech from her early career in technology transfer at the University of Cambridge. When she joined the industry, she first led efforts to open the Italian market to forensic techniques and then to cyber intelligence & data breach response, becoming an authority in these domains. Marianna rose to become Kroll’s Head of Southern Europe and a member of the company’s risk committee. As a manager she was responsible for both operations and network expansion. Marianna went to found the European intelligence and investigations firm, 36Brains which was merged into RSM.
Marianna has often served as a member of corporate supervisory bodies (Organismi di Vigilanza): anticorruption councils required for large companies in Italy.
Marianna’s expertise is also recognised at an academic level. She regularly holds courses at universities and institutes of higher learning in Italy, the UK and the US.
Giovanni sits on the executive committee of ION Analytics and is responsible for engaging with Influencers in the capital market globally and across asset classes. He organizes fireside chats and exclusive closed-door events to facilitate connectivity and knowledge among the influencers. Giovanni joined the company in 2001 where it held various roles in Italy, Germany, London including managing a global team of journalists and data analysts.
Stefano is a Partner based in Strategy&’s Milan office, leading the Industrial Products & Manufacturing practice in Italy. He has over 20 years of experience, serving global and local clients in a wide range of industrial sectors across the different steps of the Value Chain in Italy, Europe and USA.
He has extensive experience in corporate development, growth strategy, business model innovation and digital transformations, large-scale value creation programs, including operational excellence and change management during post-merger integrations.
He is graduated in Mechanical Engineering, Automation & Robotics and holds and MBA from MIP busines school.
Laureato al Politecnico di Milano in Ingegneria Gestionale, vanta una carriera ventennale nel Corporate e Investment Banking. Prima esperienza professionale come analista finanziario in Sopaf, approda nel 2000 in Interbanca, dove arriva a ricoprire in breve tempo la posizione di Responsabile del M&A, annoverando un numero importante di operazioni di successo al fianco sia di gruppi industriali che di fondi di Private Equity, sia in Italia che all’estero. Dal 2007 al 2010 guida il team di M&A per Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking in Italia per poi trasferirsi nel 2011 a Parigi come Global Head dei settori Consumer, Retail e Luxury sempre all’interno di Société Générale CIB, finalizzando importanti operazioni cross-border a fianco di primari gruppi internazionali, sia industriali che finanziari. Rientra in Italia nel 2014 dove viene nominato Senior Banker, Responsabile del Private Investment Banking di Société Générale CIB per l’Italia, gestendo per conto della banca le relazioni con i fondi di Private Equity, family office e grandi holding oltre che large corporate, per i quali struttura e conclude un numero importante di operazioni. Da settembre 2018 è Amministratore Delegato di Azimut Libera Impresa SGR, la società del Gruppo Azimut dedicata ai Private Assets dove a oggi ha strutturato, lanciato e gestisce più di venti fondi alternativi in tutte le principali asset class. con particolare focus sul private equity di cui è anche responsabile di divisione.
Barbara Napolitano ha seguito alcune tra le principali operazioni straordinarie di public e private M&A del nostro mercato, dove ha maturato un’esperienza ultraventennale.
Esperta di diritto dei mercati finanziari, offre assistenza in quotazioni, offerte pubbliche di acquisto e di scambio ed emissioni di strumenti finanziari equity ed equity linked.
Barbara vanta una specifica competenza in materia di operazioni di riorganizzazione e aggregazione di grandi gruppi domestici e internazionali e acquisizioni, cessioni di asset strategici di gruppi quotati.
Inoltre, si occupa della strutturazione della governance di società quotate e non quotate, pubbliche e private (grandi gruppi familiari).
Attiva in ambito ESG, con particolare riguardo ad aspetti di governance e rapporti con gli stakeholders.
E’ membro del comitato sviluppo internazionale e si occupa nell’ambito dello studio di tematiche di diversity and inclusion.
Prima del suo ingresso in Studio, Barbara Napolitano è stata socia di un primario studio legale italiano internazionale dal 2006.E’ menzionata nelle primarie directory legali internazionali per le practice di Corporate M&A e Capital Markets.
Philip is chief strategy & marketing officer at Sterling Technology, a premium provider of virtual data room solutions for M&A, capital markets, and real estate. He has more than 30 years' experience working in strategy, M&A, corporate development, and corporate finance leadership roles in management consulting, investment banking, public companies, and private equity backed firms. Philip is a non-executive adviser to startups, investment management and private equity firms. He has served as an honorary visiting fellow in finance, and as a member of the advisory board of the M&A Research Centre, at Cass Business School. He is a co-author of over a dozen published M&A research studies and papers, as well as a co-inventor and patent holder for computerised, networked secure collaboration technology. Philip graduated from the University of London with Masters degrees in computer science and finance.
Gianandrea, was appointed Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of DeA Capital Alternative Funds in June 2017. Since July 2021 he is member of the Executive Board of AIFI (Italian Association of Private Equity, Venture Capital and Private Debt).
His professional experience began in 1997 in Mediobanca, in the equity capital market team, and in 2000, he moved to Lehman Brothers Investment Banking team. In 2001, he started his experience in UniCredit where he has developed his career for 10 years in the Corporate and Investment Banking division, heading the Italian Corporate Finance Advisory team and the Multinational Financing team. In 2011 he joined FondiariaSai as Deputy General Manager with the responsibility of the Real Estate business, of the diversified businesses and of the M&A team. From 2013 to July 2015 he was Partner at PwC Italy heading the M&A team.
From August 2015 to June 2017 he was Director of Strategy and Management of existing shareholdings at DeA Capital S.p.A. supporting the top management in strategic investments, divestments and management of the portfolio.
He graduated with full marks with honors in Business Administration at Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan.
Francesco Aldorisio, Partner – Private Equity, is responsible for direct investments in Europe. He is also responsible for due diligence and execution of fund investments in Italy and sourcing of secondary fund investments in Europe. Francesco is a member of the advisory board of several private equity funds and sits on the board of various companies across Europe. He joined Unigestion in 2017 with the integration of Akina into Unigestion’s private equity unit.
Francesco holds a Master’s Degree cum laude in Economics, Statistics and Social Sciences with a major in industrial economy and corporate finance from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy.
